It's a shame we wasted so many years drafting utter crap.

Since the first season, this team has not been very good at the draft table.

Ask yourself this . Can you name 10 of the top 15 draft picks this year without looking them up?

I am not saying there are not any potential stars but your scouting staff absolutely needs to do their homework this year.

- VANTEL

I’ve read the 2019 draft is suppose to be a better draft than the 2018 draft so I don’t know where you’re reading your negative stuff about this draft?

There’s a ton of depth in this draft, supposedly, there’s just no generational talents, but there wasn’t in the past few drafts either.

Last year was all over the map, like Arizona and Montreal drafting for need because there weren’t any kids outside of Dahlin that separated themselves.

Same as the year before, after Matthews no one could decide if Laine or Puljunarvi should go next. Laine turned out to be the right pick but there’s no real standout stars in Dubois, Puljajarvi or Juolevi who went 3-4-5.

Cory is great. He is all Comets, which is nice to read/hear.

I haven't said I read negative stuff in fact there is very little stuff being said at all about it. One week Byram in number 6 next week 16. I don't think too many know enough about the kids.

You guys are welcome to think whatever you want . I haven't seen too much hype . The things I have viewed are just okay. All I am saying is I am not expecting much. I don't know for sure.

Last years draft was very mediocre. A convenient excuse for people to dismiss the draft. Hell if they can find a Dubois, who scored 20 goals 48 points as a 19 year old, I’d be pretty happy.

I think if we were a real bottom 5 team we may be creating our own hype about the top of this class.

Edit: just pray that the JBs are working overtime scouting the players we aren't hearing anything about.

Well no disrespect to you but you’re constantly running down this draft for whatever reason and the written words of people in the business are a bit more worthy than our opinions, mine included. I’m just going by what I’ve read about 2019.

You’re right there’s no generational talent to slobber over for us fans but there’s some really solid kids there, as I said, more than last year.

Definitely. I wouldn't mind a Dylan Cozens or Kirby Dach . I was hoping the Dmen were stronger but doesn't sound too promising.

Last year was suppose to be the year of the defensemen, I think five were projected to go top ten, five ended up going top twelve.

2019 is projected to be a center year, nothing generational but some solid kids like Horvat and Dubois I’m guessing.

Trade the POS as soon as possible. He is a Gap Kids goal-suck who thinks swinging his stick is playing defensively. I'm tired of pouting Russians, he can f*ck off now.

You can feel any way you want about the draft (no disrespect intended) . There is no McDavid Laine Matthews .I am not excited about it but that does not mean it is not good draft. I am just not stoked but everyone can feel how they want.

I will be happy with our pick because I don't have expectations
