I was just looking at the February schedule and it looks like Canucks should come out on top especially with other teams looking to tank.

I am not waiving pom poms ,I am saying Canucks will be pushing to win and other bad teams will be pushing to lose.

Our three toughest games in Feb are against Wash SJ and Flames and then it is a lot of Phi Chi LA Ana

I don't see the club being buyers . I do see them being traders. There is no way they will give up a second round pick for a tough guy or third line winger. They could though trade OJ and Jake for for a young top 4 Dman .

JV is still a bit of an enigma. If he goes to the net and is not afraid to battle along the boards and corners, he could be good to keep around. would like to see what the return would look like for Jake and OJ.


Guys that should be moved this season or not back next- Goldobin, Sutter, Granlund, Pouliot, MDZ, Schaller, Hutton, Gudbranson and maybe Sven.

Would not want to trade Jake and OJ. Wont get fair value for either. Jake wil be a 20goal middle six player, not what you'd hope but a valuable asset none the less. OJ is injured, his value is tanked bad, he's got the skill set to be a top 3 defensemen, still very young.

Goldobin, granlund, beagle, pullout, MDZ, Gagner, schaller and Hutton can all go and not be on the roster next season. Trade if possible, otherwise waive or let go.

I don't know if there is a market for Schaller Granlund Pouliot or Goldobin

I think Sutter will be moved before next season. Not sure of the return.

MDZ minimal return.

Hutton may stay

Gudbrandson is a big question mark.


I think a Jake and OJ trade would be something like what the Flames/ Canes did but with a slightly lesser return

Yost just put out an article on TSN about this – apparently the Canucks have the softest schedule in the West for the rest of the season. Could make a push at the end there if everyone stays healthy.
