Unfortunately for Philly, they are NOT in a position to rebuild because they have pending FA's, NMC players and overbloated contracts.

They are in a rotten spot and f uck 'em

We can do better than what they have, honestly. Although, I'd take Giroux off their hands. That's about all they can do to load up on assets.

1st, Nylander, Guhle and if they don't bite, dialtone.

That's interesting.
He performs great, has 3 years after this on a $8.25M contract.
Could see him playing 1c for a year year-and a half ....
Then switch to RW when Mittsy is ready to dominate.
I like it alot.

Carry on, 1 free political post without eye-rolls awarded.l

If we ignore locker-room cancer, too, I take ROR over those two every time. He has slowed down lately and will finish under 70 points again IMO, but he's a 2C on every team in the league that has a 1C.

Ok,

Your honor, let the record show I have never once female doged about the return from ROR. I thought Berglund would be a really nice piece, though. It is not Botts's fault that Berglund was the swedish moper that he turned out to be. And, I admit, I had a preferred (read: made up) trade. That said, he is gone and never coming back.

I really, REALLY do not like RNH.

He's like a wimpier Reinhart. No thanks. Reinhart's goal last night was honestly the first time I have seen him score on a wrist shot, and I ain't gonna lie, it was sure purdy. I said only hours before that he needs to start burying his chances - That was more than I could have asked for.

I take Couturier.

Neither Ryan Oreilly or RNH had a season as good as Couturier did last year.

Ryan Oreilly is a good consistent PP player though

He's a less good Reinhart with the ability to play center better than Reinhart

And that was literally the only "good" season Couturier has had. Everything else has been mediocre.

It was a great season, and he’s had other good seasons that he unfortunately missed time with injury and little to no stat padding PP time.

The dude literally was matched up against Crosby in the playoffs at 19 years old and played well against him.

His defensive game is clearly better than the other twos

Nah, but I couldn’t care less what guys did years ago when they were buried on the depth chart.

It’s not like SC was 30 when he had his career year. He was 25

What does this even mean? ROR is 27. RNH is 25 also.

Why even say that? What are you comparing it to?

Because he’s still young, and his career year came the first time he had a lot of PP time and actually decent linemates because the Flyers traded Schenn.

It’s not like Oreilly or RNH who have been top 6 centers with top PP time every year since they’ve been 20

If you are a GM and could pick

28 year old Oreilly at 7.5 mil
25 year old RNH at 6 mil
26 year old Coots at 4.3 mil

It’s not even remotely a debate

Nevermind that ROR is having a better season than the untouchable Couturier. Nothing to see here, move along
