The point I was making was Vasilesky probably stops 2/3 goals we scored tonight. We played a strong game though and the refs didn't do us any favours but we went 0/4 on the PP. Lightning had what 40 seconds of PP time ? The Stamkos goal was 4 on 4. We had every chance to win that game or extend the lead and we didn't take advantage.

well this shouldn't surprise you, it's been a train (frank)ing wreak all year....

and yet Sobotka was minus 3... Risto was -1

Faceoffs are one thing, but it's 2019. Can't be using +/- to make points anymore. I ain't about that life.

Yes jack....you can blame the refs..

This was a tie game before the ref's decided they wanted to play hockey again.

Well, Montreal is now ahead of us.
This team as it sits is just not good enough.
We are out of the top 8 as it sits right now.
If GM JB is going to help this team, it needs to happen relatively quickly.
Before the end of this month preferably.

Kucherov did his part.
Where was Eichel tonight?

Botts = darcy 2.0. lets wait until it's over to make a move... We will be seller's soon...

Can someone explain to me how Larsson got a penalty when the ref never had his hand up until Larsson got punched in the mouth?

Also if there was blood and it was intentional why was it not 5 minutes?

Don't let it overshadow the fact that Ristolainen was terrible once again, but will always get a pass because of a nice o-zone play or a big hit. If only this was 2001..
- Sabresfan-365

Botterill needs to trade him to save Housley.

They keep playing him as a bonafide number 1 and it’s getting hilariously bad for the FOURTH YEAR IN A ROW

Couldn't you say all this about tampa?

That they faced a goalie who is about average, a team that isn't playing well recently, didn't convert any of their power plays, but they still needed the refs to win?

The actual chances and shots from the skaters was about even i think.

- Sabresfan-365

It's larceny that Domingue is even a backup in the NHL. Ullmark was 5-1 with a 946% before tonight and I'd say hes our 1A and above average. The ref didn't give the puck away leading to the tying goal. We allowed Kucherov and Stammer to let them rip from the slot and paid the consequnces.

Good. Two top 15 picks helps this team more then getting swept in the first round by Tampa or Washington. What move do you want Botts to makethis year to even have a sniff of winning a playoff series ? Lets mortgage the future and bring in Kane and ROR and rush everything again....

I mean, the fact the Sabres are in 9th more than half way through this season means that he's done a great job.

We're not winning the cup this year.

We WEREN'T winning the cup before the year started

We WEREN'T winning the cup, despite the 10 game win streak.

Patience.

Botts isn't going to make a panic trade, and he CERTAINLY IS NOT Darcy 2.0. He is methodically cleaning up Murray's mess. We'll be alright.

Yeah, from last place last year, but let's not mention that. You're acting like you expected them to compete for the cup this year. They're exactly where I thought they'd be.

I think he'll either trade him in the off season or acquire someone who effectively pushes him down a pairing.

Not sure what game you were watching? Risto was no where as bad as pilut and scandella. Pilut had that turnover in the 3rd that changed the whole game - not sure why housley has him out against kucherovs line, he does have final change. Scandella is a nightmare in front of his net, led directly to two or three goals against. Ullmark has to make a save or two in the third too and jacks line had to be more of a factor, they were a nonfactor on the PP. On a bright note, Dahlin was sudebly amazing. He's getting more confident/better by the game and will be our best player by next year. typical refereeing make up calls - pathetic. Funny how they were afraid to make the proper call on sergachev but make the one on Pilut. Experienced championship level team vs a young inexperienced one. Compete level and competitiveness this year.is light years ahead of last year. I like how Take is progressing and Pilut, despite tonight. Dahlin is better than hyped which is crazy. Middelstadt is my major disappointment, but I think his wingers have a lot to do with it
