hard period for the Leafs ...

Yeah. It's hard to play when you float around the ice with your head up your collective arse.

I feel like this is the James "not his fault" Reimer all over again. Gardiner should be held 100% responsible for that goal. No point telling him though, he wouldn't understand the words being said

In case I'm not clear : Gardiner is to blame for the opportunity, but I expect any NHL goalie to stop that shot.

That is 100% a wrist shot from the blue line by Brian Boyle. It's on the goalie. Gardiner (frank)ed up at the opponents blue line, but it happens.

Looked to me like Jakey screened Huch a bit.
I'm not blaming the goalie on this one.
Especially if it means I have to agree with Max.

Although I thouht it was a bad goal... and the way Hutch reacted it look liked he knew he should have had it.

But not only did Gardiner create the turnover, he also screened his goalie....

He is an absolute idiot and horses ass. He has no hockey IQ.. ever....maybe when he has he puck.. sometimes.. maybe

Agree, he whiffed on the puck. Hit the top of his glove and went top corner but it’s from just inside the blue line. It’s Brian Boyle not ovechkin or Matthews shooting that puck.

The Leafs definitely don't have that winners mentality to keep the foot on the accelerator yet.

Take Calgary, up 7-0 with 3 minutes left on the PP. Roll out Monahan, Gaudreau, Lindholm, Tkachuk, Giordano.

Something in between those two options should be the goal

On Boyles goal?

Hutch didn't even raise his glove.

If Jake Gardiner didn't exist, it wouldn't be an issue. But for some reason, God decided I have to have Jake Gardiner on my favourite team.

You've done something wrong and this your penance. I suggest you figure it the (frank) out and stop making the rest of us suffer for your transgressions!

Matthews still injured, or needs another LW to play with him?
I guess it's better that he is going through his annual 10 game slump now instead of during the playoffs..

Matthews needs to be with Hyman and Nylander when the playoffs begin. I don't really care about the regular season as we've known we're playing Boston since October.

Hyman Matthews Nylander
Marleau Tavares Marner
Johnsson Kadri Kapanen
Moore Lindholm Brown

If you can make a cheap deal for a LW you put him with Kadri and bump Johnsson down as he's not quite ready to be trusted every shift (imo).

I don't mind Hainsey because he doesn't make too much and will be gone at the end of this year. A Gardiner extension scares me to be honest.
