There needs to be two trades for defenseman to improve this lineup and they are

To toronto: Pietrangelo
To St Louis: Johnsson, liligren and a 1st

To carolina: kappinen
To toronto: brett pesce

Both kap and johnsson are both UFAs, and will likely not be affordable for toronto in the off season. This makes the leafs blue line much deeper

When Jake and Hainsey dont resign in the off season, the two Sweeds, Holl, Sandin and Igor can all battle it out for the final spot

What's hilarious is that Lilybust is still World Juniors eligible, he's that young. Kid's had some bad luck, but let him percolate like Dermott did and let's talk this time next spring.

I am sure there are a few guys that keep to themselves...Oz being one of them with the language barrier.

Being a loner is a massive problem - pro sports teams are filled with bros who don't understand why others won't play along. It can drive a huge wedge between players in the locker room and cause all sorts of problems.

To be honest, I think that Mitch is everybody's friend. This is a locker room that he'd probably be just fine in - there's nobody who seems like a douchelord.

Johnsson has 19 points so far this year. He's a guy you try and get locked into a multi year deal which at this point would be very team friendly.

I am just assuming. I can't really make a full judgment as I am not in the NHL.

But I have had co workers that I get along with and some that I have not....but there have also been some that kept to themselves and I am neutral on them.

Sandin is new and shiny for sure, but Lilybust and him may be our a future 3/4 pairing in the not so distant future.

Yes I misquote myself, RFA and I agree you want to sign em, but anything north of 3.5 million and hes unaffordable. Toronto is deep enough offensively they can take the hit, but they can't sustain this defensive pace all seaons/playoffs
