Maybe, but the guy is a tool. I really don’t want to sign any vet goalie for more than3 years max. - BiggE
I get it but not much out there overall. Every report is Howard wants to stay in Detroit and even if hes traded will likely go back in the off season. |

There are some who enjoy sci-fi culture and there are some who take it to the extreme, extremes tend to be cringy, but can funny if looked at a certain perspective. - Glak18
There were a group of guys dressed as Klingon's who were having full-fledged conversations in (what I can only assume was) Klingon.

You're wrong in saying that I'm wrong. How many times do you have to be burned by posts like this. I stated one thing and only one thing and that's that there was debate on it. If you look at the previous thread, you'll see in fact that here as debate on it. So now step up and show how I'm wrong. - MJL
Because its not 2 years NHL experience. Professional with some caveats. |

They exist...
You do have to give them some credit for their passion. Is it any different than the person who has a room dedicated to their favorite sports team, buys cardboard with their favorite players on them or buys a jersey with someone elses name on it? |

Honestly they just don’t make good sitcoms anymore. There are no sitcoms today that are even remotely as funny as the early seasons of MASH, Cheers or Taxi. - BiggE
I'm a huge Cheers fan. Can't get enough of that show. Taxi was good. I actually thought Spin City was a well done show both with Michael J. Fox and then Charlie Sheen. Kinda flew under the radar in the mid to late 90's.
I am also a big fan of The Office. I honestly believe that Michael Scott is one of the greatest sitcom characters in history. Bold statement, I know. Steve Carrell played him so well. He had a depth that you just don't see with leads. He was a buffoon, a caring person, insecure, scared, funny, annoying, unrealistic... He could change from episode to episode. Just amazing.
The "Survivor Man" episode where he has Dwight take him to the "deep Pennsylvania wilderness" and leave him to fend for himself is a good example. Total buffoon then at the very end, he gives Jim sage, serious advice about managing. Just good stuff. |

Spin City was kind of underrated in my opinion. |

MJL you said first and second year NHL players are exempt, in reference to why Meyers isn't called up. That was wrong, just own it. |

Most likely they also live in their parents basements, collect action figures and have never kissed a girl. |

Just made that very same point last year, when comic con was in Philly.
I was with a friend of mine down by the convention center, and there were a lot of people in cosplay. My buddy wondered why they would do that and meanwhile, he was dressed in a Phillies jersey. |

nope - that's why I don't judge people for what they're into. I may not be into it, or even get it, but I get the concept. |

True dat. I am also a big fan of Arrested Development which was hit or miss with fans and critics. I thought it was wonderfully done and very funny. Viewers didn't like the flashbacks (some just didn't understand the humor) and it just never caught on with Fox. |

That scene, to this day, will mentally take me to some bad printer in an office I worked in around the time of that movie, that we all desperately wanted to destroy. |

I took my wife to the Star Trek TNG 25th anniversary convention. However, we went for the sole reason of her getting a picture of Patrick Stewart, and the other people there were a little too much for us.
However, Brent Spiner was hilarious, and Jonathan Frakes is a creep. - jmatchett383
I LOVE Brent SPINER! And my creepy Star Trek run in was when James Doohan (the original Scotty) invited me back to his room. I was all of 16 at the time and he was far from young. He was fine with the rejection, but the conversation was obviously over. |
