I am more curious what don't you find funny about it?

Personally I have found the people who find it stupid consider themselves too smart to find humor in it. It is social awkwardness and geek humor at it's finest. Has the show gotten long in the tooth, no doubt, but early seasons were hilarious.

It really is no different than Seinfeld, yes it is cleverly written, but it is no more than "haha it's funny because it's true". More people relate to it because it focuses on stupid things people have done in life and can laugh about it knowing others have experienced the same stupidity in their life.

I won't name names to shame them, but 2 people have made some outrageous offers for Bob...

1) He will be a UFA and no guarantee he re-signs
2) If he does re-sign it WILL be for huge money and term with a NMC
3) If he signs with the Flyers, he WILL be the starter for his term, there will be no trade him when Hart is ready or make him backup

Just things to keep in mind

- Glak18

Yeah I'm not in on Bob. Just not enough success in the playoffs. Not all his fault. I'd also assume that he wouldn't want to come back to this poop show.

The office, big bang theory, seinfield even friends any of them. Its cringey humor. I've enjoyed episodes of every one. I like listening to shows like this as background noise while doing stuff cause it doesnt need focus but can give you some laughs
- Tfaehner

Exactly...they are all sitcoms. Every single one of the shows you mentioned are considered better if the individual has more experience in the subject the show is based on.

You can still find a show funny or enjoyable even if you haven't been in the same situation, but the more you relate the funnier it becomes. Out of all of them I find Friends to be borderline funny, some shows have made me laugh, but I have never had a roommate in my life or had a group of friends that banged each other so to me the whole show is odd to me. Now the Office is gold to me.

They are saying he is Florida bound. Lives in Miami in the off season and the Panthers want a reset in net.

I thoroughly enjoyed The Office, but I also liked most of the characters.

The office has been relatable to me through work. Big bang theory and friends similarly with a close group of friends I've had for 20+ years. Big bang I've felt like penny or sheldon depending on the situations in my life lol.

When you watch the show, the characters are the most socially awkward people you can imagine. Yes, those people do exist. People that can do amazing things, but can not do fundamentally basic social interaction.

As for geek humor, pick any episode to watch and within 2 mins they will most likely talk about comics, video games, sci-fi or fantasy subjects. The entire show is literally surrounded in it.

We had Direct TV with Center Ice (all had HD options). It was fantastic.
- cdearth23

I had DirecTV for at least 10 years. The only reason I left them is because they could not deliver HD content to me due to line-of-sight issues.

I'm strangely okay with it depending on what fletcher does from here. I've wanted Jake gone for 3 seasons and hope it happens. I've wanted a good veteran d man not a good soldier amac. And if we get Hughes itll be awesome.

So I am not the only one who is irked by Provy's short stick? He seems like he is overcompensating for something.

I just find the character Sheldon unwatchably annoying. Also, not a fan of laugh tracks in general, but Big Bang Theory takes the cake of overuse of them.
- jmatchett383

The Sheldon's in real life are annoying in general, they tend to be loners who think they choose to be that way, but don't realize it really is the rest of the world that outcast them.

That is a non-issue for me. Bernie Parent had no playoff success until 1974.

SB is a very good goalie. I don't even have concerns that he would "block" Hart.

Yup. My daughters didn't think the Office was funny at all until they had internships while in college. Then they got it, and now it's a favorite of theirs.

I just think the organization likes having him play huge minutes down there. And Friedman. Why bring him up to play sheltered 3rd line minutes.

I know.."He can still develope here". Yes I get that but I think him playing heavy minutes for a team that is competeing for something is beneficial.

Just my thoughts.

- J35Bacher

Its not just about "heavy minutes". It's also about quality of competition. He needs to learn how to defend NHL caliber players and the only place to do that is the NHL.

I always felt the character Sheldon is a high functioning Asperger personality.

And I love the show, for the very reason non geeks hate it. I love Star Trek, and Star Wars, and sci fi and gaming, and all that other socially awkward stuff.

I find the show very relateable.

I agree with you on this.

Conversely, my fiancee, who has never worked in an office, doesn't really get either of these.

Now, yes. The show is unwatchable. The early seasons, however, were pretty darn funny.
