This is possibly the worst idea ever posted on this site full of horrible ideas (many of which I have contributed). - jmatchett383
I wouldn't have injured players call it a season, but if I was a trainer or coach if anyone was playing below 80% I would ask them sit until completely healthy. |

I think this is actually a great situation for Hart now.
1. The moron fans finally realize he's not "the savior" so there's no pressure coming from the stands
2. He gets to learn the NHL game with no pressure
3. When they lose it's 99% likely that it won't be his fault so he can just go out there and hone his skills - Scoob
Agree and honestly hes had 1 bad game 1 meh game and everything else has been good to great. A 2-15-3 record wont phase the kid imo. Hes that strong mentally. Just fight every night. |

Provy is the only guy I think is playing truly injured. His injury at this point if it's still nagging him should be treated with surgery. However I think he and the flyers are both trying to avoid it. It's a contract year for him. He wants to earn that big contract.
To other stuff. I do think we need to "see what we have" in a few guys. But I'm not pushing for waiving and trading 12 guys and making a new ahl roster in the NHL. Like to see nak and ghoul spell weise or weal in some these games. Maybe mich in at 4c for a bit. Bunnaman maybe a late season recall. Dont want anyone from defense up here quite honestly. - Tfaehner
None of you know who is hurt, nor the extent of any injury, if there is one!! |

Had an awful dream. Flyers lost 12-6 to Ottawa. Giroux had 6 points was a +3
Fletcher went and traded Ghost and Simmonds after the game return is unknown but there was some prospect named Banana and acquired Shea Weber in a separate deal. Cant recall any more information - xShoot4WarAmpsx

Meh, not a fan.
So which players on the Flyers can you tell are actually injured? Please tell me, as I'm not privy to their physical exams. Or are you just basing this on who you think is injured? Also, if they're not on IR, which they clearly aren't since they've been playing, how do you intend to create roster space for their call-up replacements? - jmatchett383
I’m just speculating. The only one off the top of my head is Provorov possibly still dealing with issues from playing with one arm late last season.
I question certain player’s abilities to make a distinction between hurt/injury.

Sure, let's let a bunch of kids play their first NHL games in this mess and use that as a tool to evaluate them.
Makes sense. - jmatchett383
They already did that with a kid named Carter Hart, who is younger and less experienced that other prospects they could promote from the AHL. Are you seeing any signs that playing on a bad team is ruining him? |

Yup.
When I had DirecTV the NHLTV was included when I bought Center Ice so I could watch every game in HD. When I switched to Comcast had I known that Center Ice wouldn't be delivered in HD I wouldn't have bought it. - Scoob
Haha talk about a dropoff. 55 inch TV with standard Definition is not enjoyable. |

No, but I also think that Carter Hart, from reports I've read, is one of the most mentally mature 20-year-old this organization has ever seen. He also has NHL starter talent to go along with that. |

Again, if it's just one player, then yeah, you could do something like waive Folin and call up Myers/Friedman. But you made it sound like you wanted to sit anyone not playing at 100% healthy and call up AHL players to replace them, which is just not feasible.
And I still say Seinfeld is the most overrated TV show in history. |

Phil Myers is almost 22 and has first round talent, even though he went undrafted. I'm going to go out on a limb and say he could handle playing on the Flyers third pairing without having a nervous breakdown. |

There is no reason Myers at this point shouldn't be called up. |

It's not a mistake he keeps falling down the lineup. |

Yes, he probably could as well. Again, he's arguably the organization's top AHL prospect. But I don't think I'd just start throwing guys willy-nilly into the lineup, either. |

It was a stealth tank going into the season with Elliot and Neuvirth as the goaltenders.
Now, this is a regular tank. |

Well, first of all, this team doesn't need to put anyone on LTIR, IR is fine. But in order to be placed on IR, they need to have a medical exam by a competent doctor who has to deem them unfit to play. I don't think (think, not know) any of them currently fit that criteria. |

I’m not advocating a wholesale changeover to an AHL roster. Just certain players that will play no matter what, as we’ve seen in the past.
And yes, I am advocating for a soft tank. We all know a Provorov at 75% is better than whoever would replace him, and that is partly the reason him among other players keep playing as long as they aren’t mathematically eliminated.
I think that philosophy can be put out to pasture this season.
Also it’s fine if you personally don’t like Seinfeld but it’s false to say it’s the most overrated tv series in history. The fact that it is still embedded in our social lexicon is evidence of this.
An overrated show is something like Big Bang Theory. Might be in the running for all time.
