JvR isn’t remotely as bad a player as he’s been made out to be. I don’t question his skill or hockey IQ, just his willingness to get his nose/hands dirty as a power forward.

He isnt. But hes been lazy at times throughout his career. His skill level has always been very high. I've been on team hold onto jvr and hope he works it out. If I could trade anyone on this team it has and will continue to be Jake. I just dont like him as a player. Haven't for years. Didnt like his contract

I realize I'm not answering your question because, frankly, it's gonna take more than Carter Hart to save the Flyers.

What else does he do so well other than the 50 games the one season where he had a hot streak? He doesnt play defense. His ability to hold onto the puck and body control that he used to have has completely vanished. He is a turn over machine. He skates well but to nowhere and without purpose. Hes not an efficient passer. Hes not an efficient scorer. I would love to know what he does really well.

At what point did hart show he was ready prior to this call up ? He struggled for the entire beginning part the year. He had what 6-7 good games in the AHL before his recall? Most organizations would of wanted to see more. Elliot did give us good goaltending. But he got hurt. Unfortunate event. His NHL numbers are actually better than his ahl were.
