Ooops. Plug EROD into Wilson's spot on the 3rd line.

Housley "Tage, we are putting you on the top line tonight"

Tage "Hold my beer and watch this"

Hopefully the way he played last night sticks.

Gotta start somewhere. I like it . Tage is my new fave.

It is amazing how one game can make you fall in love with a player. But if we see more of that 72 will be hanging in the closet soon.

Well last nights win was a welcomed surprise. I had ZERO faith that we were going to win, hell I only thought we would score maybe 1 goal.

So if Housely goes back to the same lines he was using and not update to:

Skinner-Jack-Tage
Sheary-Mitts-Samson

Then is coaching the problem?

Last night's game was fun. Time to see what happens when Jack comes back. I'd like to see Housley keep some of the top guys split up a bit, kinda like you have it there.

Botts: "The key to our success here is developing our young players. We're always looking to add pieces and add scoring if we can, but if you start trading away draft picks, if you start trading away young players to get scoring for right now, we're going to have the same issues a year from now or two years from now."

He's been playing well and been one of our best forwards over the past half dozen.

This is all true, but if you can get your hands on mid 20's guys like Skinner, Duchene etc, then it is easier to lose some of those picks when you are getting proven NHL scorers....I like what Botts is doing, but right now if he were to trade away a first rounder and a few prospects for say Matt Duchene, I would not blink twice at it.

If it was a sign and trade its entirely possible. I'd prefer to wait till July 1st though. The only first rounder I'd consider moving is the SJS 1st. but even then im hesitant.

But based on Botts comments, he wouldn't do that. I have no idea what he will do by the TDL but you could sign Duchene or Silfverberg or Nyquist on July 1st and it wouldn't cost giving up anything young.

I can see 6K getting as many starts as possible in Cincy. Let Johansen graduate up to the Amerks and get some minutes up there whether in a backup role or as a 1B to Wedgewood.

It just seems to me that Botts doesn't want to move his assets for a short term fix. I actually like that. Stay the course and if he can add something at the deadline, great. We still need have dead pieces to move off the roster.

That could certainly happen and would be beneficial to his development. He might be so good in Cincy that he finds his way to Rochester fast.

I still think the minute the ink dries on a possible Skinner extension you sell off at the deadline and try to move out as many of Sobotka, Scandella, Sheary, Hunwick, Beaulieu as you can. If there is a trade that can be made to bring in a young player that can help now and in the future then cross that bridge when you get to it.

Out of that group you mentioned, I could see Sobotka, Hunwick and Beaulieau moved. They could sell and buy at the deadline.

If you trade for Duchene now, it is with the intent on signing him long term. I agree, you don't want to give up assets for a player that is a rental. i would want no part of that.

It would 100% be to sign him. We aren't a team in position for a rental like that.
