I'm more worried about who's going to play it at the start of next season.

No. They are further than being competitive because they lack the skill and talent that top teams have, age aside. The fact that they are younger isnt bad, its good considering the direction this team needed to go in as far as a rebuild. I think the team is going in the right direction, but i think we need a bunch of pieces to be close to where those top teams are at.

Just my opinion though

Leafs have been shut out 2 of the last 4 games by a score of 4-0 in both games and have lost 3 of 4 but he lets use the Leafs template

You need someone to play. We can't use Gaudette because you confirmed he only plays 8 minutes a night last week and everyone hates Granlund so we need to find someone before you ship him out the door.

I think Gaudette will be back at TDL. The need to showcase Sutter. He missed 30 games he needs to get up to game speed .

Well done Carol. Bottom line is that without Petey in and beyond Boeser we are super average/mediocre in the goal scoring dept. Even Boeser has looked 'off' lately. Horvat as well.

It is what it is hopefully Pettersson back soon and we can get some marquee talent back on the ice and make the games watchable.

I like what they've done under under Shanahan but at the same time I wonder where they'd be if Arizona drafted Marner and if the Leafs didn't win the Matthews lottery.

No I am not over impressed with the draft eligible players this year . I don't think it is a strong crop and it doesn't go deep
