If they resign Edler, count on not having room left for one of our young D.

I look forward to having Ferland patrolling the left wing position on Elias's line next season.☺

Vantel wanted to draft him real bad last year. Talked about him for months, about how badly we needed more C depth

He is playing in the NHL and doing very well on his draft year. My evaluation was not off

They were discussing the other day on SN650 about Hughes could play RHD

Nighthawk use to ask me that question and it drove me fuken crazy .

If you are going to move Edler and replace his minutes who can do it and how much? Gardiner is a bit of a downgrade and will cost more . After that there is no LHD that can .

You can spend 11 mil on Karlsson and hope he works.

Anyone can replace Pouliot but I think that is where you have to trust is your system and development.

Hughes will be an addition and eventually OJ might but in the meantime it is Hutton or McEneny to play bottom pairing.

Woo hopefully will be ready 2-3 years.

I think changes will be made from TDL to the start of next season so it is wait and see.

This is exactly the same as asking who will replace the points when the Twins retired. Edler’s minutes will be replaced, maybe the team is a little better, maybe they are a little worse, but the difference would not be as great as you make it out to be.

We all hate losing to the Leafs.

I don't believe one step forward two steps back. How many people thought we would be out of the bottom 10 in January .

It is a long season . They will hit walls.

I really think Benning is sticking to the original plan. Make some moves at TDL. Bring in Demko around then. They were probably hoping OJ was ready but the injury set him back.

They have some surprises Madden Utenen Woo DiPietro .

It all takes time

When that questioned was asked last year I answered it with names and where the points would come from. Most of it I was right and things like saying Sutter would pick up some slack I was wrong. The thing is most of the answers were from our own system.

Our D prospects are not bad at all , but you can't bring them all in raw at the same time. Hughes is a definite fit and will have no problem replacing Hutton as a second pairing guy at this time but no way he can defend the NHL best for 25 minutes a night (yet).

You can't run with Hughes OJ Hutton as top 3 LHD with partners of Stecher and Guddy or bulldog. Bring them in one at a time.

Well said. We are just fine moving on from Sedins and we'll be just fine moving on from Edler/Tanev's minutes. I guarantee you nest year when Edler/Tanev are injured again people here will be crying at MNGT for not getting assets for them while we could. I get what they bring...but it's time to move on just like Sedins.

I hear what you are saying...but I'm talking next level aggression. Twice liberties have been take with Petey and nothing done...but Green is 'really upset' so that helps.

But I do agree in a 5-0 game vs TO make something happen even if it's a late fight or something.

Schmaltz (STL), Scherbak (LA), Wideman (FLA) on waivers

I wonder if a team takes a chance on Schmaltz

After being on here and talking with Bloated about a trade I had a dream last night Canucks traded for Dougie Hamilton. This morning I wake up and see Hamiltons name on the trade block now by NHL trade rumors. .

Add them to the trade list. It's time to start trading away players here and there. Team's getting stale, add some fresh faces and start the tank. I'd like to pick between 4-7

I thought Poo-a-lot would come around under Green but that's not appearing to be the case. Guddy is what Guddy is...I'm more pissed that Pettersson has been man-handled twice and Guddy has done (frank) all about it...just becoming the next Bieksa.

I can't confirm or deny this but I heard Hamilton is a major issue in the dressing room which is why Boston and Calgary and even now CAR are moving on from him...heard he is majorly religious and doesn't warm to a lot of the dressing room antics/jokes that go on with most players. Could be wrong but that's what I've heard.

Pittsburgh can make any player better but couldn't with DP. Why would rookie Green make him better?
