That quote bothered me because it sounded like DOPS to me when you get the feeling they did everything in their power to find a reason not to suspend a guy.

Or last year when the goal replays were absurd because they'd look for 3% of a reason to disallow a goal.

My post was a tongue and cheek response to all the posts that demanded retribution for something that required no retribution. Seriously there can be 20 posts calling for a physical response but I can’t be facetious about the exaggeration of everyone wanting a player to send a message where one isn’t justified.

Honestly if I read nothing but everyone’s over reaction to a hockey contact play and swallowed their opinion I would be a mental reject with no sense of humour. It goes both ways. The guys that are paid to play and coach, as well as some of us that saw no intent have their opinions, but that doesn’t mesh with the retribution crowd so go ahead and call me out. I’m a big boy and can take it, but I will also call it out.
