So, what kind of package would it take to get Quick and Toffoli out of LA (and preferably retain some salary on Quick) and would you be willing to do it?

That is good news, what do you guys think it would cost to get Jimmy Howard from Detroit? Another thing to is would the Flames have to buy out Smith the rest of the year or could they send him to the AHL? Can you imagine if Mike Smith had average goaltending this season, the Flames would be right up with Tampa in the standings.

I’d rather Gio didn’t play and rested his 35 year old body for playoff push and long run.

Flames have 9 days off around the break...he will be fine

everybody is getting lit up in Stockton this year. They have easily the worst GAA in the entire AHL. Id be tempted to play GIllies and see what he can do. Or maybe even Parsons. I actually went to a game a couple months ago and it was a track meet, zero defence. Not sure if they're just depleted down there or what but I'm not sure you can pin it on the goalies.

I'd agree, you probably can't place the blame on the goalies. I mean, who do we have left on defence down there? All the good prospects are up and playing well (or on IR). I couldn't name more than Healey right now, and the guy we got from the leafs for Klimchuk.

100%. As cliche as it is, Peters has to take that narrative into mind. Gillies would have rode that confidence most likely into a few starts.

Really starting to hate the refereeing in the NHL.

The more I watch this young defence the more and more impressed with them. Too many point blank chances today ! But that more team D. Especially kylington Anderson and Hanifin!! Great trade for Hanifin for Hamilton who was female dog in the dressing room!!! Hamilton 40g 5g 13a 18p -13 although don’t like that stat. Hanifin 42g 3G 18a 21p+5 8pim And a better penalty k
