screw that, I want a win...with Ullmark in net
- Michael Pachla

That would be sweet

I don’t think the Isles of Habs keep winning at their current pace

Barring a disaster...
i feel pretty confident that we are finally back in the playoffs this season!

Looking at a brutal 1st round matchup though (most likely)

If an 8 year deal helps land the Sabres a Cup in years 2-5, I can stomach the problem that will be the albatross at age 35. It's the cost of doing business, but also about finding the right investment. Skinner might be that. I have much more faith in that than I ever did with Pominville or Okposo when their deals were signed.

he seems like the type who's style translates well into his latter hockey years

skinner's got finish and moxie, something we really haven't seen here since briere...there's an energy and confidence about him that's contagious...he's good for the team and there's nothing right now that would lead me to believe anything would change with him
- Michael Pachla

The look he gets on his face after scores is just great
Seems like he really likes playing here

Hopefully that helps keep the price from getting outta control with him

if they keep playing the way they have, 95 points isn't out of the question unless puck-luck stays bad for an extended period

he's having a ball...

if I recall correctly, early in the season I thought I saw, via 89 or homie (or both) that the range was $8-9M with the sabres on the low end...I can't see him or the sabres fussing over $550k if they met half-way

8.5 kinda seems like a number that’ll end up working for both sides
I’d love it to be a little less obviously though

I really could care less what Skinner makes, as long as it in Buffalo.
Botts won't resign him to something the sabres can't work with....

Stone is a pipe dream... he most likely going to resign in Ottawa anyway.

Are you thinking they should ride him a bit or something?

Gotta think guys that have struggled will score a bit more in the 2nd half too
Mitts, Sheary, Thompson...
i could see those guys possibly dropping 10+ each in the 2nd half
That would be a huge boost for our secondary scoring

easy, sign him so he gets paid for what his career avg is. (which is going to be around 8+ anyway). than anything over and above is bonus money.... I'll gladly give him Base + bonus = 9 a year if he is a 50 goals scorer.

If you really watch what he's able to do on skates it's super impressive. The way he can move around other players is insane. There's nobody like him in that regard in the league. He did it quite a few times last night. The ice skating background as a kid is for sure recognizable.

Maybe?
I don’t think he or Duchene will end up staying in Ottawa though
They’d be crazy to do so

yup...I think he deserves another start...been playing very well as of late and if that means riding him til he falters, then so be it

Idk if he’d realistically do something like that, but a base contract with goal scoring bonuses is a great idea

sheary's been getting opportunities but hasn't converted (had two glorious chances last night)...mitts is struggling but if he can get to double-digit goals and an equal number of assists, i'd consider it a decent rookie season....

Thompson seems as if he's a volcano ready to erupt...that shot is ridiculous

I don't disagree. But then, I've kinda been saying that all year.

I honestly don't have an issue with what Hutton has done for the most part, though it does seem lately there's like 1 goal a game where he leaves me scratching my head. That said, he's definitely not the problem.

However, Ullmark is more or less the "solution" and I'd like to see him get an extra start here or there as well.

yeah...it really showed on his second goal...was happy to see that he deeked out Yandle...poetic justice

Of course he’s gonna say all the right things,
he’s a class act

But at the end of the day...
he can make $$$ playing for a team with a much better chance to win,
and get away from one of the worst owners in sports
Ottawa is a freaking mess

Maybe he really does love it there
But I’d still be very surprised if he stays

I like the development curve they have Ullmark on and hutton's a great mentor...this might be a good time to stretch his limitations and see how far he can take them

I don't know what Yandle's deal is this year. I've never had a problem with him before. Always respected him. But the last two games we've played against him he's been a total dirt bag.

What was his beef with Pilut last night? He shot the puck. It went in. If it hit Ekblad, that's not something Yandle should have been going after Pilut about. Ekblad was standing in front of the net. It's the price you pay when you stand there. It's not like he shot it at him willy nilly in a weird area of the ice trying to be malicious or anything, but Yandle certainly seemed to think otherwise.

Indeed
F Yandle
I was at the FLA game here
Was pretty funny how we boo’d him every time he touched the puck

I was at the game last night, I thought for sure someone on the sabres was going to go after Pysyk, that kid was hitting everyone up high after the whistle, went after Skinner and Dahlin a couple times
