On Gustav Nyquist...

Another Red Wing, only Larkin has more points...Nyquist has played very well this year and has been solid in key situations...I hear Montreal connected to him the most...but the Sabres are also watching...

I'm not a fan of trading any assets of worth, such as 1st round picks or quality prospects, for players that aren't no brainers. RNH is a nice player, but he's not good enough to warrant quality assets going the other way IMO, especially Risto.
- kingcong39

You are entitled to your opinion, I have mine for sure that are diffetent from others.
With RNH, I'm not sure what is not to like though...he fits the desired profile in many, many aspects...in fact, production wise he replaces ROR beautifully at a contract value this board laxt year deemed suitable for ROR...
25 yrs Center- fits desired profile
2-1/2 years left at reasonable $6m Cap hit - fits desired profile
Good Skating and Passing skills, solid 2 Way Player - fits desired profile
349 pts in 497 games = 0.70ppg - fits desired profile for 2C
~ 57pts expected per season; 38% as Goals = 22G/35A - fits desired profile
75% Goals at even strength - fits desired profile
Acceptable Corsi of 48.9% - would like to be slightly better
FO% of 43.9% - needs improvement to fit desired profile

Trade wise Edmonton needs RhD and a producing forward...
- McCabe, who can play the right side ( I really don't want to part with him, but gotta give them something of value)
- Sheary, maybe he can mesh with McDavid better, dumps some contract costs
-Nylander, promise of future scorer.
- Sabres 2020 1st

For RNH and Puljujarvi.

Interesting.

I mean if it’s a rental plus Risto for Leon and Klefbom I would be okay with it.

Then sign Skinner on July 1st lol.

I would assume this would happen if the Skinner contract negotiations goes sour.

I am sure a plan B and a plan C is in place if they don't agree on a contract

what gets me is later in the article

Jake Muzzin

I mentioned before about the kings reaching out to the sabres with Muzzin

now the chatter is on a national front

don't hate the guy, don't see the need unless risto is being moved and dahlin is moving to the right

Not shooting the messenger, but Jake Muzzin is a train wreck and I want nothing to do with him, and I hope/pray Botts feels the same.

I generally don't want to give up futures, but if you can get RNH without giving up anything painful, you do it. RNH is worth more than RoR in my book. A 1st + some expendable pieces is a steal.

I will question his ability as a GM if he trades for that player. He. Is. Awful. 😂

I have been saying for about 3 years now how much I want no part of Jake Muzzin on this team.

If a 1st goes back to them JB is officially Tim Murray but a little more patient.
