something old: hawks don't show up for the start and fall behind by 2 goals in the 1st period for about 16th time

something new: kunitiz and keith score

something old: ward and gives give at least 3 goals

something new: giving up at least 3 goals and winning

something old: beating the pens....

I agree completely...

The arrow is pointing up for the Bears. 12 wins was a pleasant surprise, but I didn't expect squat in the playoffs.

Foles has The Brady disease. Deadly for teams in the 4th with the game on the line.

Bears Def needed to make a play on that final drive and couldn't

Parkey needed to miss the post and couldn't

Just an over rated team crashing back to earth...

...hard.

ummm...rob that defense is not overrated...and neither is the whole team; no one expected them to get sniff of .500 let alone 12-4 and get beat cuz a kicker bullseye the post from 43 yards.

they are alot of fun to watch...come back with that D and get some improvement on the offense and this team makes a serious run for SB next year.

-anyone notice how small his skates/ feet look in relation to his body/ frame size- not sure it’s a factor with his skating but looks totally out of proportion to me.

I just referenced her a few pages ago for a Parkey accident, haha. Different context. She's popular tonight.

I referenced her but couldn’t stand him. Reminds me of Crosby now with her whining.

No doubt,Trubisky played well when it matters, like he did the last 3 weeks, hopefully that can be put to bed.

Definitely overachieved this year. The playoff experience will help greatly moving forward.

Gustafsson is what he is, a very offensive talented yet defensively inept d-man. I like having him on the team, but he should be a 3rd pairing PP specialist playing 15 minutes per night. I don’t want to see him go, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Gus traded.

Forsling is the odd man out, he’ll be dealt before the start of next season.

Stan has improved the team’s depth at forward by acquiring Strome, Perlini and Caggiula while giving up only Schmaltz. Kunitz played tonight because they were honoring the 2009 Cup team in Pittsburgh, going forward I’d expect to see more of Hayden. Hayden hasn’t got much of a chance under JC.

It is a good way to look at it, moving on, I agree with you on some of the recent moves, I feel the same way. What is this talk about Minnesota, are they looking to shake things up, I wonder if Charlie Coyle is a guy that could be had , same with Nino, . I am way more on board if there’s any truth to the talk about Bowman being connected with this kid from Ottawa that grew up in Chicago. That would be a nice catch given the year he’s going to wind up with.
Regarding the fourth line for now given the circumstances, ride that veteran Pedegree with Chris Kunitzfor a few games, he knows he’s gone after this year. He’s had a nice career, regarding guys like Hayden and Martinson, Hayden may be a work in progress I would like to see him develop into a nice third line solid right winger, Martinson would have to play like Ryan Reeves, otherwise he’s useless. Kind of like Wayne VanDorpe Back in the 80s, except VanDorpe can fight and was willing to, I know it was a different era back then. But the few times Martinson had a chance to make his mark all he did basically was late a couple of solid body checks when he caught his opponent here and there. Those type of guys are a dime a dozen out there.

I agree. But they should have went for the field goal earlier instead of 2 points and I'm not sure why they didn't look for another field goal kicker during the season, knowing this clown couldn't do his job.

It's so disheartening that he made it and had to rekick, but choked.

Its easy to say we lost by one and shouldn't have gone for 2. But had we not gone for 2 (and made the extra point where the game would have been tied), Philly would have kicked their own extra point (where they also failed a 2 point conversion) and still would have been up one.

Forsling is a Swedish defenseman. Stan never trades them, he collects them.
