I think each team has someone like that. Dont recall which team it is, but don’t the hawks have some teams like that themselves- Washington, maybe, or philly in philly (since game 6 in the 2010 finals)?

Sounds right.

I remember that play, Seabrook looked like he was swimming towards the corner.

Like an old car trying to start. Just sputtering as he tries to skate torward the puck.

I know Seabs supposedly wrked our harder this summer but I believe I saw some training videos of him. He trains alone in canada. Think he lost his training partner recently.

He should be spending time with other athletes and pro trainers trying to somehow save his game. Working out alone doesn’t get it done for the average joe half the time. Not sure a pro athlete should be doing that......

They haven't seen Manning yet😁

Oh but they have, playing as bad as he did here. Was a healthy scratch tonight against Anaheim, a big minus 2 in the first 4 minutes last night.

4 points from last in the NHL and 6 points from the playoffs

Just like the nhl model desires. People will still buy tickets if their team isn’t completely out of it.

As much as I disliked some of the dynastic teams that game into town to play their sports — I included the dynasty’s from all four major sports — it was special to see them come in and do their magic. While I see the desire to even put the competition, I sure miss seeing those old “special” teams come into town.

If you don't mandate a personal trainer with your 33 yr old $6.8 million dollar faded athlete.....you are tanking

I’m not 100% but I swear I watched a video of him wrking out this summer. Pretty sure he does it on his own at his place in Canada.

He should be paying the best trainers and
power skating guys/gals to try and salvage the back end of his career. Just b/c his skating is slow doesn’t mean he should be falling on his ass all the time.

Good point. He’s not going to push himself past his own point of resistance. That’s what the trainer is for.

This talk of playoffs is crazy, try to get to 500 first. This team needs to be physical, consistently. Interested to see if Delia can keep up his great play. Unfortunately if they are consistent, they'll take tomorrow night off so Delia will have to save 50 shots on goal.

Yeah, his long-time trainer passed away. He spent the summer working via video with Paul, the Hawks trainer. Agree it might be good for him to attend one of the skills camps some of the other guys attend.

I saw that video too. Seabs has his trainer from Chicago on Skype or some video chat while going through his workout. Of course the trainer can't see that the phone is resting on a Big Mac while the call is in progress. Seabs also emphasized how much cycling he was doing in the off season. I've been playing recreational hockey for years, and have cycled all over Northern California and from my experience, the cycling is great for building endurance on the ice but doesn't do much for speed. You really need to work on fast twitch muscles off the ice if you expect to maintain or gain any speed when you get back on the ice.

He does but has guaranteed money through next season...so there's a pretty good chance you'll see him for 16 more reg season games.

Trade him for Debrincat.....

The guy that trained Rocky?

Its almost comical, cuz there is a personal trainer on every corner of every street in north america.

I added him on my fantasy league the day of the trade . Kaner has that effect on people, and Dylan Strome was drafted 3rd overall for a reason...he has some tools in his toolbox.
- EnzoD

Yup, I'm also becoming a big Strome fan. Who cares if he can't skate. Let him drift into the Ozone, run some people over, do a give and go with Kaner and put the puck on DCat's stick for a one-timer...

Our PP didn't look halfway awful tonight with Cat/Strome/Kane playing "pass n score"

Maybe trade Kane, he was accurate enough to hit the camera.

His contract needs to be re-negotiated for every post he doinks, there goes a million. A double doink, he plays for free. I don't think he'll be a Bear next season.

He's on a 57 point pace per 82 games played since joining the Hawks...that's excellent

Nancy Kerrigan can outskate him— but the guy is a hockey player. While his skating could use some improvements, his IQ gets him to where he needs to be to be effective. I’ll take him over Nancy (read nick Schmaltz) any day.

Well just finished watching the game .Great win by the boy's .Guess that PP is still non existent lol . Glad this team don't quit as easy as some of the surrender monkey on this board . Ward played well ,nice use of the goalies by JC . Delia should be good and rested for tomorrow ,he will most likely need it .
This team don't know the word quit ,and good on them . Time to get back to real hockey after that goofy WC crap interrupted the HAWKS on a nice run ..GO HAWKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't want to rain on the " win parade" here tonite...But Eric Guffstefsson's defensive play is horrible, he sucks, he got called out again tonite for being to soft on positioning first by Pierre then by Mayers on the post game. I don't care about his offense, I hope there is a GM out there dumb enough to overpay for him at the deadline. There are a couple of kids on the " come" to replace that soon. He costs the team more than he helps with his bonehead play out there. Forsling is another one with the patented stick check " fairy wand wave" rather than get in the way of someone.
I may be the only one for now, but keep that 4 th line the same the next few games, WTF did Hayden and Martinson do out there recently? Cagulia looked good with Kunitz and Kruger tonite. Yes/no??

Gustafsson is what he is, a very offensive talented yet defensively inept d-man. I like having him on the team, but he should be a 3rd pairing PP specialist playing 15 minutes per night. I don’t want to see him go, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Gus traded.

Forsling is the odd man out, he’ll be dealt before the start of next season.

Stan has improved the team’s depth at forward by acquiring Strome, Perlini and Caggiula while giving up only Schmaltz. Kunitz played tonight because they were honoring the 2009 Cup team in Pittsburgh, going forward I’d expect to see more of Hayden. Hayden hasn’t got much of a chance under JC.
