I have tickets for the Jan 17 game in Peterborough when Entwhistle and the Storm play the Petes. I'll let everyone here know how he plays.
- paulr

Much as I love the USHL no debating that the OHL is the best jr league in the world. Wish I had a club within 200 miles, I'd catch a couple games a yr. Miss the Plymouth Whalers in Plymouth, MI. ........ Caught a few games there. The USNTDP plays out of that arena now.

Enjoy and look forward to your thoughts. His skating, IQ, what line and position he plays.

Everyone keeps saying mixed messages, let's define a couple of things.

Rockford has some talent however at this point nobody special and a few years away from these kids making the jump.

Now we have to aging defenseman who hold 2 roster spots and eating up 12 million in cap space.

We have toews and Kane eating up 21 million , both aging but still in the realistic realm to win another cup in a year or 2 tops .

So I guess do we just blow up this team or make a few needed trades of 2 aging core defenseman and a coup,e other players such as saad and anisomov

To gain cap space, better skilled players for the positions needed and picks , prospects?

Last but not least each year is about winning a cup , I don't think any team that is losing wants to wait 3 to 5 years In hopes to just get back to contending or making the playoffs?

So does trading Debrincat help this team win the cup in the next few years? I understand you throwing out all kinds of trade suggestions, but trading Debrincat makes absolutley no sense.

I'm hoping the 'Hawks roll 4 lines tonight. I do not think it is in their best interests to be double shifting guys like Kane this year. We only need to observe the after effects of excess minutes in the current performance of Hjalmerson, Seabrook and Keith.
- 35Tony0

Agree. This group ain't making the playoffs. Evaluate your "prospects" (Perlini, Galigula, Hayden types) and save what is left of the core....... Role 4 lines, you lose more ping pong balls.

Does Cohen look like a NASCAR driver with a skinny body and an alien looking oversized head/helmet?

I’d do that in a heartbeat. Let them take Hughes. Use the 2019 to take Kakko then the 2020 to take Lafreniere or Byfield.

9:00 left in the 2nd and how many times have they allowed Trubisky to go down field more than 20 yards? Once? ...... Waste a couple deep to loosen 20 yards down the field up.

PHI has a weak pass defense. Exploit it or act like you want to.

I'm worried about his ankle now, but he's playing safe, I'll say. He's throwing to the line of scrimmage or just a few yards beyond. That needs to change. He's not protected well enough either.

Did you hear Gord mention Hughes reminds him of LaFontaine and Ray agreed? Thought that was interesting but remember LaFontaine being bigger than Hughes and of course was a winger.

My concern is I see a lot of Kane in Hughes. What if he is and Kakko is a Taresenko? You make the deal for an extra 1st?

Is McManus a corner? Beauuuuuty play to fight off a block from a TACKLE to string out and bring down the RB!

Scheme that to your advantage and slow that rush down. A few inside screens to Big Head/little body would help.

Da Bears. Their running/mobile QB dings a leg.

And the safety has the IQ to go down in the end zone and not run it out! ...... Gotta love IQ in any sport.

I would do the trade. Getting a player who could be like Tarasenko or Laine plus two #1's in 2020 would be worth it to diversify assets and more chances to hit on more than one (and up to 3 rather than 2) elite player.

I'll trade anyone for the right price but agree with you on Dcat. Notice how Q and Colliton plays him L3 and not a Saad? IMO cuz they know he can help on any line and Saad can't.

Tank has flattened out the last 2 yrs! Book still out on him.... And IMO Laine is the much better scorer. Damn near a freak who will end a career with a 15% shooting percentage and hit 50 multiple times.
