Hahahaha, I was waiting for a DC reference!
Another great song.
I heard of that cover band, but never heard them play. - I Am The Breadman
Happy to oblige! Haha
Rick Springfield, Darryl Cotton (RIP) and Beeb Birtles. Darryl Cotton went on to perform as part of a trio of Aussie rockers (Cotton, Keays and Morris). They played all their hits from the 60's/70's, and despite them all being my dads age, and not having released a song in my lifetime, I enjoyed listening to them. Rick Springfield obviously had Jessies Girl.
But back to the Beatles. Enough Australian input from me |

About time someone else joined in on the fun. You were a dj, haha, that's awesome, AEL! Hipster cool guy to school administration? - I Am The Breadman
Sorta kinda, like Mr. Belding from Saved by the Bell, haha.
I have done some music production for several major college events at the campuses I've worked at so that keeps me in the game. I leave the DJing up to the 18-22 year olds and their new fangled hardware and software that let anyone with a pulse be a DJ. The technology is pretty cool, actually, but it can never replace vinyl and actual turntables. |

Man!!! That Pettersson kid is something else. Hattrick tonight puts him at 22 goals and 42 points in his first 37 NHL games. On pace for 45 goals and 86 points. That is with him missing about 7 games earlier due to injury.
I'll admit it, I'm jealous that the Canucks got this guy 5th overall in the draft. - breadbag
Petterson is a beast who probably hasn't even hit real beast mode yet. And a skinny lightweight beast at that.
His staggering stats are even more impressive given that he did have a dry spell earlier in the season (I believe after he returned from injury). |

I dont know how you feel about Foo Fighters. I love them! Dave Grohl did a documentary called Sound City, and put out an album called Reel to Real with some of the artists he interviewed. It was great. Rick Springfield did a song or two with Grohl. |

You sound like Neil Young, he can't get over vinyl being replaced, either. He's more pissed about it though. The world we live in today, cds aren't really sold in stores anymore. That's sad to me..... |

The Foo Fighters are amazing. And put on a fantastic live show as well, which is always important. Nothing worse than a band that can't play live to save themselves |

Toured out here at the start of 2018 (can't bring myself to say last year already )
Sadly we don't always get decent artists, or if we do, they only tour sporadically, or years too late - Looking at you GnR! |

Yeah, that was sad to hear. His brother, Brooks, had a comment for him too. I know he turned down Curb because of cancer. 76. A guy from WWF died at 76 and the captain from Muscrat Love also died. All at 76. The triple was completed. |

Actually went to see Hamilton on my vacation to Toronto this weekend. Kaliyev has great skills, but on this date vs Guelph, he looked disinterested and lazy. He has a heck of a shot but unless this was an outlier, he plays no D and is only interested when he has the puck. - KMFDMLight
Was going to ask "How did you like the play?" but that's how you know this is a hockey site. Thanks for the update, I think the team is playing better and won't get a top 5 pick, so if the pick is somewhere 8-14 it will be a little more difficult to find the right player. If they move back a little it looks like another dman might be the BPA. |

Mean Gene Okerlund was the guy from WWF. Was also the voice of WCW interviews when I was a kid growing up in the late 90's |

Hahaha, that does suck.
You ever come to the States or anywhere else to see bands? I know it's an added expense, just wondering. |

Yes, couldn't think of the name.
I'm glad to find guys closer to my age. No offense older posters, it's a connection thing. |

Sadly haven't visited the States as yet, but definitely on the list. For the Hawks as well of course, but my old man wants to do Route 66 still, so might be over in the next few years if he decides to do that. fly over with him and then go off and do my own thing, catch up with a few mates over there.
Did manage to see a few bands (including the Hives who I saw were mentioned earlier) when I was over in the UK a few years back though |
