we had one, he's now in st. louis
-Michael Pachla

Hmmmm...
I guess it’s not just me after all

I guess scoring is harder to replace than some would ever admit

Berglund- bust
Sobotka- bust
Thompson- still waiting
Mittelstadt- still waiting

What do we do now?

Olofsson cannot be denied. He can only be delayed

For so long
-jcragcrumple

I’m not sold on him as a scorer in the NHL
I’d use Olofsson as a trade chip

mitts hasn't been the best, but my god the wingers whom he has played with have sucked all season, see sheary, Okposo and any other mid-six forward that ended up on his wing...sure, there's a thing called chemistry of which he's a big part of, but one would think that vets like those two would help a 19 yr. old transition to an important role and take some of the pressure off of him...they haven't and it hasn't helped anybody
- Michael Pachla

Now is the perfect opportunity to put Mitts with Skinner & Sam
If it works, keep them together & put different wingers with Jack when he comes back

The thing i kept saying over & over though has come true

Sure,
Skinner replaced some scoring we lost

But we needed to MAJORLY IMPROVE the scoring from last year

Hard to do when u trade away 2 of your top4 scorers

Keep losing and you’ll get 4 of them over the next two years. In addition to $20M+ in cap space to play with.

Skinner already has more goals than ROR did last season

He needs 18 more goals this season to replace what both ROR and Kane scored here last season

So basically Skinner replaced all the scoring they traded away

Problem is nobody besides Jack is scoring with him

I dont think anyone expected burger-land to completely melt down. He wasnt supposed to replace ROR, I think he was just supposed to create space for Mitts to develop. Now we're kinda fugged. We need a serviceable center and we're probably not going to make a trade unless something falls in to our lap.

Until the last couple of games I've gotten to watch some competitive games from the Sabres this year and it has been nice. Hasn't happened in a real long time. We all see the problems with the team and there isn't a cure-all band-aid to fix it right now. Enjoy the ride folks.

The only thing I am kind of sold on is his ability to score goals. If he's not a scorer then what else are you sold on him bringing?
