They should win this pretty easily. Zadina and Necas have been terrible this tournament im shocked. That game against Russia will be a good game though.

Laaksonen was the guy drafted in the 3rd that no one had heard of, and was very small at the time, right? If he turns into somebody, that’s a fantastic job by the scouts and by Botts sticking with his scouts...

...and if he doesn’t pan out, we should crush them all for not picking some OTHER guy later in the draft that we’ve never heard of that did pan out.

The way the league is going I think we could be seeing a lot of teams taking advantage of the rookie pay scale if it isn’t changed. Pay your top dogs the big bucks and then have a bottom 6 full of young players or vets on cheap prove it deals. It’s going to be crazy to see what Toronto/Tampa/Winnipeg do with their cap situations this offseason.
