Maybe a trade for him involving Schultz when he returns. Otherwise I do have to question what it would take. Maybe a 1st,2nd and a prospect I would assume or maybe they trade Desmith in a package for him.

I can’t even begin to come up with a package that would be considered good enough to be in a two horse race for someone who’s considered to be one of the top defensemen in the league.

Something less then what Erik Karlsson went for would be my closest guess. Which the pens could definitely put together. Advantages for Karlsson: was/is better, only had a 10 team no trade
Advantage for pietrangeo you get him for possibly another half season then they got karlsson for.
Who knows though maybe nothing gets said by anyone over the next 2 weeks

Blues Pietrangelo is apparently gonna be available... Does that mean he gets dealt... no but I’m told this will come out as early as next week. Pens are 1 of 2 teams with noted interest already. Pens and leafs are the only 2 teams I got told so far. Yes he has a NTC but sounds like he isn’t against waiving it to go to a playoff team.

The leafs can definitely put a better package together and considering they need a #1 this seems right up their alley.

I’m more curious what STL is looking for in return. I can’t imagine they’d be looking for a top dman swap.

Is this a retool/rebuild type of move?

Are they seeking a top six forward?

Go for Parayko. Cheaper option than Pietrangelo.

He only makes 1 Mil less. Parayko is overpaid imo.

Paryako is not overpaid at all IMO. STL got a great deal with Pietrangelo; he is a $9M dman making $6.5M.

Yeah that's true it's more Petro has a great deal. Thanks for fixing haha that was a wake up in the morning look at the cap hits and I was like damn why is Parayko so close to him.

It will be interesting to see if he ever makes that $9M money. He has two more years at his current contract and if the CBA doesn't get renegotiated this off-season, I think his coincides with the actual date. If that's the case, his market value COULD be affected depending on whatever new rules they put in place.

In what was unthinkable in november, pens getting some good attention. CBS has the pens as the biggest mover up and predict playoffs and second round appearance.

I would think MM, 1st+ Maata would be what it would take to make it happen.

Blues would need a starting G, futures and a Dman to replace him....Unless they have a lot of prospects then IDK....Either way Blues are a mess.
