Well, it was more that he was seriously concussed after going to Boston yet still produced at a top-6 rate and did his two-way thing for 3 years. Smith is good and was given away by Chiarelli later If we got that equivalent in exchange for Nuge, I wouldn't actually be all that mad. Getting two capable top-6 wingers for one of 3 top-6 Cs we have might be a fix this team needs to fill out it's depth.

I'd hate to trade Nuge and we'd HAVE to look into adding a legitimate 3C real quick but, with how they're currently being deployed, it'd be moving a top-6 W for two top-6 Ws.

All. The problem was the d not getting the puck to McDavid and Drai. Chia solves this by eliminating all other forwards from the team. Now there are only d to go with McDavid and Drai. This is progressive thinking at its finest.

Eriksson is absolutely a servicable NHL player. He does a lot of little things really well, and is pretty reliable on his side of the puck.

However, that particular skill set combined with his offensive output should maybe pay him half. And that could be generous.

Im hating less on him this year because the entire team is playing so much better around him

He can play. He’s just slid down so far from his Dallas play the moment he got to Boston and since that it’s almoat scary. He was real good in Dallas. But yeah. I’d take him on a cheap two year deal or something.
