TRADE ALERT: The #Blackhawks have acquired forward Drake Caggiula (AAV of $1,500,000) and defenseman Jason Garrison (AAV of $650,000) from Edmonton in exchange for defensemen Brandon Manning and Robin Norell.
Glad Garrison is gone. I would have thought that his IQ would have kept him in the game for a while longer, but boy were you guys right in saying that his footspeed was gone.

Remember when you and I said we weren’t worried about the blueline even with the injuries?.....I sure hope these defenceman can score and hide what is a glaring weakness with the lack of depth with the forwards....oh and who do we call up now that Caggiula is traded? Developmental growth is stunted for someone
All this while playing just 13 mins/night at even strength mostly with Brent Seabrook. At least it shows he's been playing somewhat tougher minutes, but damn. Historically, he's a moderately effective bottom-pairing Dman at best (see Petrovic), but this is the kind of season that ends careers.

Gambardella deserves it. Fits the style we'd want to replace Caggiula.

I'm literally hoping that this was done in order to open up a spot for a top 6 winger that is going to be acquired in a reasonable deal... HA. One can only dream.
