UPL was first game, Laaksonen the second. I think he meant a Sabres prospect for the second straight game but it is also Garth's twitter handle so who really knows.

Didn't know that. Sorry for the fake news.

If he's half the player Kyle was, we should be happy.

And agree: If he played on the Patriots, for example, everyone would be throwing "Future Hall of Famer" around like silly string at a frat-house on toga night.

- BeadyEyedDouche

I don't think the Hall is in his future which sucks but like you said that's because he didn't play for the Patriots.

He is put on the wall of fame whenever he is ready for it.

They should do it after the game tomorrow if it was me making the decision.

Harrison Phillips is getting a little teary-eyed talking about Kyle Williams. Said he’s meant a lot to him in his career and what he’s taught him this one year of playing together. #Bills

He should go up on the wall AND have his number retired eventually, IMO. He'll never sniff the HoF but I don't care, the HoF is like the grammy's in that it doesn't matter because it's all a "good 'ol boys" club anyway.

Harrison Phillips looked good almost every time he was on the field this season, IMO. Blew up a lot of runs at the line of scrimmage, few in the back-field. He'll be an anchor at the position for the next decade, hopefully.

What we really missed this season was Dareus, but he's too injury prone and his contract was heinous.

Watch this moron staff draft a (frank)ing defensive linemen with their first pick

I've seen a bunch of mocks that have the Bills going DL/DT in the first round

Im confident Harrison will be a stud. I'm glad Kyle was here for him to learn from.

He's a couple years younger than me and went to high school here in O-town. Still pissed he chose Stanford over the Huskers

Chilling, but inspiring story on Malarchuk, if anyone has time, was a good one:

So much yes.

Guys like Phillips talking about how much of a mentor and teacher he was, is enough for me. Line coach. Defensive specialist. Whatever, let's get him out of the jersey and right into a polo or hoodie.

Had no idea any of that happened. While upsetting, it's a fascinating story. Happy it has seemed to end well so to speak. Thanks for the heads up, I surely will.

He's been my favorite Bill since the Kelly days. Nobody else even comes close, not even Fred.

I believe there has been talk about him wanting to transition into coaching. I have no source, but I've heard that numerous times. I would love to see him stay with this organization.

heard something on Hockey Hotline about Sam being moved off the first line, but they teased it and then I got out of my car.

Anyone hear this?

Not making the playoffs is probably the best long term thing that can happen to this franchise....

1) we don’t have the horses in Rochester to fix what problems we have with secondary scoring.
2) JB is not giving up picks to acquire said players ( we need more than one)
3) we don’t have the cap space to fix this problem, and 80% of the time it doesn’t work out.

It doesn’t matter how you shuffle the poop in the middle six, nothing is going to work. The only one worth a damn there is Casey, and he should have been in Rochester this year. (management screwed the pooch on this, and that really bothers me after JB said guys need to mature in Rochester first) epic fail on this JB.

And for the love of god please (frank)ing cut Ellie....

What?
There’s little difference between picking 14th-ish and picking around 20

Unless we were to win the lotto,
which would be something like a 1% chance where we’d finish

I’ll take a playoff birth
That’s an important step,
even if we get swept in round 1

Me too.

That big galoot was probably the most professional, class act player we've ever had...and he also happened to be an amazing football player. And there are some good ones to choose from across the history of the franchise.

Whatever he wants. Start building the brand. Keep the greats around the team. Totally agree.

Holy smokes, that was fantastic. As a Blues fan, I remember that night like it was yesterday. Somehow, I had no idea about all of his subsequent struggles. So glad this has turned out well for him and his wife.

You could be right, you could be wrong. If we win two more games we have Dylan Strome instead of Jack Eichel. If we lose two more games we could of had Clayton Keller instead of Alex Nylander. If we lose 5 more games maybe we draft Pettersson 5th overall or maybe Botts goes with Mittelstadt still. At the end of the day it depends on the ability of the scouting staff, but these guys have given me reasons to believe the past few years. The higher you draft, the better the chance you get of getting your guy.

Because SINCE THEN I have done nothing but say what a disappointment he has been, yet you cling to one take from a 10 game sample.

As well as this whole GMTM got a raw deal thing, I have stated numerous times since then that he was a moron who destroyed our farm system.

See that's what happens when you aren't a self-righteous wiener, you can change your opinion if someone presents a counter-argument that shows just how wrong you were.

Instead, you keep jacking off over ROR endlessly every single day and despite DOZENS of posters on here providing NUMEROUS examples of the rift between ECHL and Cryin' Ryan you STILL won't shut the hell up about it, you start arguments for the sake of it, and seeing your avatar makes everyone's heart sink and brain hurt.

Not to mention the moronic grammar and formatting of all your posts. You are the king troll of this blog, dude, I couldn't even begin to hold a flame to your candle.

That’s kinda true
But 14 & 20 are in the same group talent-wise
Guys like Konecny get picked in the 20s and guys like Girgs get picked in the teens just about every year

We aren’t talking about the super high end talent from your examples at the point we will be choosing
I’ll take the playoffs
