Something like Okposo at $2-2.5 retained plus Guhle to the team of Okposo's choosing for 2 C prospects
- jcragcrumple

That does not seem like anything GMJB would do, i.e. give away talent simply to gain cap space.

a broken clock is right twice in a day...

Going 2 for 3 on 7th rounders, if that means both make it to the nhl, is way more than a broken clock being right, but you know that.

That’s been the norm for him. He’s a special player. I’d love to be a fly on the wall when Dubas is trying to sort this poop show out in the offseason.

Especially with what his father has said, although Leafs fans are sure he's taking a Toronto discount.

I wonder who decided "Sweet Caroline" was a good goal song for Kazhakstan.

What I do know he he was wrong WAY more than he was right... So I believe it was just dumb luck.... your entitled to your opinion, as am I. we sure don't have to agree about it, doesn't make either one right or wrong.

and let see if they actually make it to the NHL first.

If we can trade for Seguin, there's no way I want to miss out on it a 2nd time.

Reinhart, Nylander, IDGAF what it would take at this point, obviously excluding the untouchables

I don't see how sending them McCabe and Guhle + wouldn't pique their interest, they could use some help on the back-end.

If they did a Seguin for Ristolainen type of deal, are we on-board? Are they?

The contracts alone makes this a 1 for 1, IMO. Ristolainen has a very friendly contract... We could make Seguin work somehow, especially if we can dump Okposo. Berglund's contract is gone, so is Pommer's after this season. Larsson and Girgensons, Beaulieu and McCabe all RFA's this summer... That's 7.5 million right there and the only one I'd keep is McCabe at this point. And honestly who TF is Matt Hunwick? And Sobotka, Sheary, Bogosian and Scandella are off the book after next season...

I have liked Ristolainen a lot this season but he can disappear for 5 or 6 games at a time and at this point in his career, we shouldn't be seeing that. Yeah, he's on pace for 50 points, but he seems like a consistent 40-point guy to me. Every mistake Dahlin is making is literally attributed to him being a rookie with no experience. He is learning the game still. Ristolainen has made tons of bone-headed mistakes this season that a 6-year veteran shouldn't be making, 24 or not.

I dunno man. I don't see them trading Benn at all but Seguin can be had. We have a 1a and 1b center, can keep Middelstadt and Reinhart and still sign Skinner and make it work.

ITS JUST THAT (frank)ING OKPOSO CONTRACT

I'd pass on that, our defense finally has NHL players... We still are kind of thin, trading our 1/2 best Defenseman is never a good idea. IMHO we don't have the assets to make this trade. and if they want to dump him that would be twice now.

Stay the course draft well dump the crap ASAP.

I'd like to also remind everyone that Eichel, while not "injury-prone" has also never played an 82-game season... And if he goes down with an injury for any amount of time, this team goes deep sea diving down to the bottom of the standings.

Skinner doesn't score. Reinhart is useless. And your first line center is Casey Mittelstadt, he of the 5 goals and 5 assists variety.

You absolutely go and get Seguin if he's on the block.

There is no concern with how Seguin is playing this year when he begins making nearly $10M per starting next season until he is 35?

He doesn't seem like a fit with GMJB's mentality regarding the team overall.

Given the value of top pair defensemen, I want a pick coming from Dallas too, or the Stars eating $850K a year of that massive contract. And almost certainly we'd be paying a guy for his best production he had on another team.

What? Not at a 60 goal pace, but he's a 30 goal guy with 20 minutes a night on a team without jack.

25 goal guy. He has eclipsed 30 goals twice Which is not a slight. I just think we are going to pay him a little more then he should make but as long as Eichel is passing him the puck I guess he’ll be worth it.

Yeah, and for his career he averages 17:10 a night an extra 3 minutes is easily worth 5 goals.

Sabres 2019 1st top 3 protected or unprotected risky but might be worth it +2021 1st+ 2nd since we have 2+ scandal and whatever else... Seguin is only making 5.75 or something this year

There is no reason to change course, ride the waves and endure. The young players that are here will only get better and the old ones will move on.

Botts found a vibe, Housley channeled it for 10 games already. Consistency is the result of.....I wish I knew that answer, then I wouldn't be on probation

Anyway, the Sabres are okie dokie

I would think that if Dallas were to trade Seguin, which is far from a sure thing, it would happen in the offseason.
