I wasn't a Gus supporter and ragged on him a crap ton, these past 5 or so games, he's impressed me. I don't mind eating my words. - I Am The Breadman
If only it was the NFL or MLB and he didn’t have to play defensive. He’s still a hot mess in his D zone. |

4th line with another snooze shift. Bring back Martinsen bumholes - Assman22
They've gotten very little chances. They'll end with 6-7 minutes of ice time tonight, which is a joke for a late December game. |

He's been getting better, I give him credit. |

He's been a great add, I just wish he would find the back of the net a little bit more. I like that he has a good stick and has the speed to drive the play the other way. - I Am The Breadman
He’s a solid two way player but not top 6. Think he’d be an incredible checking line forward. Tough to play against for sure. |

I love the WC commercial with U2 playing in the background. |

4th line with another snooze shift. Bring back Martinsen bumholes - Assman22
yeah, I'm not sure what the point of the fourth line is tonight other than to give Sikura a little bit of ice time to get used to NHL speed. Hayden has been quiet. Nilsson has done okay on the PK but otherwise mostly meh. But if this team keeps playing like it has this second period and most of the last four games, it could get back in the playoff race and then they'd need more from the fourth line than this. |

Agreed. Need an element of "BOOM" on this team since they're going nowhere anyway. How bout re-introducing the heavy body-check to the team that's unquestionably the softest and easiest team to play against ?? Maybe Jocelyn Lemiux would come out of retirement for 500K !! He was so fun to watch taking people out with clean hits.

And hopefully Stan doesn't answer those calls. - TommyHawk
Nice problem to have. If the Hawks are blown away by an offer for Gus they have to look at it I'd assume. ......... Where are the Hawks in the "retool" and who will be overseeing and executing the "retool"?

A very very very very very rare occurrence by a Hawk Dman....... Murphy looks more comfortable and part of the group each game.

Should have run him head first into the boards. Staal knew he got away with a slash. What are the refs watching? |

Keith is still the best D on the team. Not many guys in the NHL can make that play. |

Agree 100%. I dont understand all the Keith criticism. Is keith the same player he was in 2013? No. But he's still a top Dman.
The last year+, he's had to play with questionable partners.
