You got rid of that brutal contract that was the key to the trade

650k for this year. That's it. He did the same thing as Franson last year... tryout during camp and signed at the start of the season.

Ah PTO. I didn't know where he was. He is easily enough buried. Norell is like 10th on our D prospect list and Manning is simply awful.

Yea, I am thinking I like this trade.

Caggiula will play bottom six role here the rest of the season. I see Kunitz also providing leadership depth very soon for the Ice Hogs. 7 goals in 29 games for a bottom six forward is better than anything the Hawks have currently on their 3rd and 4th lines. Love losing Manning's contract and like the addition as Caggiula is very quick. Good move by Bowman.

Want to have some fun? Go read the Oiler blog. The natives have the tar, feathers and pitchforks out.

They’re also discussing a public takeover of the Oilers, in the manner of the public ownership of the Packers.

Good times in EDM!

Don't blame them, Manning shouldn't be in the NHL

Find an Italian center - you have the cannoli line.

They really can't stand Caiggula, but don't like Manning either. Doesn't sound like they think they lost much.

Still confused how that guy hot a NMC. Though it really probably doesn't matter, because who would want him? He's done. Just put him in the press box and be done with it.

This may end up being nothing more, for the Hawks, than a salary dump.

Drake Caggiula -"A smart, skilled, and gritty buzzsaw of a winger that gets up and down the ice with a focused drive. His mobility is elite, and his first three steps propel him to top speed quickly. Defensively, he is very active and can contain the opposition by limiting their chances in the slot. Offensively, he can be uncontainable, consistently displaying excellent vision and individual puck skills; can act as both the passer or the shooter in any given situation. An all-around game, rooted in his strong will to win and his ability to make the players around him better, is what he brings each and every night. Character is something built through tough situational battles and having to step up at key moments as a leader. Caggiula has the capacity to be that leader on and off the ice."

Was talking about this specifically the other day. Weird how you hear absolutely nothing, nothing.

I have always felt this is bigger than a concussion.

Other players get concussions and its discussed, timetables etc.

Never a word about Crawford

Is this a scouting report from Bantams, because I don't see this upside at all. If this turns out then awesome, but this is a bit "optimistic".

Saad Toews Caiggula
Cat Strome Kane
Perlini Kampf Kahun

AA, Kruger, Hayden, Martinsen, Sikura...I still think AA gets traded, like soon.

A guy traded for freaking Brandon Manning is now a first liner? And what has this Drake guy done to prove he's better than Kahun other than be a healthy scratch for a poopty Oilers team?

With adding Caggiula, it seems likely that Dylan Sikura would be going back to the AHL. He seems like he needs a year or two before he is ready for the NHL.

Blackhawks still need a top 6 winger, because Kahun isn't one, but they are starting to build up some bottom 6 depth.

No . He did play with McDavid though, so who knows, maybe he'll get a look in the top 6. I think the world of Kahun, but imo he's better suited lower in the lineup. They could use a top 6 winger to play opposite of Toews. Maybe this guy makes some noise.

If he played with McDavid and couldn't stick, then how will he stick with Toews?

This is fools gold here I think. Not saying he won't contribute, but first line? Seriously?
