For team culture, the confidence of our kids, and the morale of our vets, I want them to win as many games as possible this year, even if we don't make the playoffs. Besides, the draft is a crapshoot. Some of our best players have come in later rounds or later picks and then you have a Strome who has never lived up to expectations (though I like what he is doing for us).

Agree with you on the draft stuff, regarding Dylan Strome ,Not bashing Rick Tochett because I loved him as a player,Maybe he wasn’t the right first coach to suit Strome And Colliton will be better for him.and maybe Stan Bowman may have won one here . If that is the case One has to wonder how Nick schmaltz is doing out there with such a hard nosed coach.

Seebs and Keith on the PK does not seem to be a good idea .They have to much of that Q crap bread into them of allowing players to stand in front of the net with no push back .. All and All good 1st close chance at the end . GO HAWKS !!!!!!!!!!

Had an awesome view of that Entwhistle goal. Love the way this guy plays.
- Justin Lowe

The coaching staff gives him important minutes, he kills penalties and he was on the ice in the last minutes in a one goal game against the Swiss. He's not flashy, he grinds up and down his wing, he plays the body, he's strong on this skates, he always seems to position himself between his zone and the puck when the opposition are in control and he is scoring important goals.

Entwhistle made a nice defensive play just before that Goal .Will he ever out live the swiss army knife nick name ,TSN put on him after the 2nd game.

And Strome's awareness of Kane to his right to get that puck out of the crease and over to him was also impressive.

Kid also wins puck battles and makes some really slick plays with his stick. He’s so long too. Really hope he spends the summer with the Hawks conditioning coaches and gets more jump to his game like Dcat has this year.

I love that he has the hands and patience to move with the puck and change the angle to get himself open for a shot. Goal scorer move that you see Kane Dcat and Panarin do.

I think this is a big win for Stan. 13 pts through 17 games so far with the Hawks and solid center play. Remember this kid doesn’t have a full NHL season under his belt yet.

So the exact type of middle 6 forward the Hawks need.

Prototypical old school winger, yes if he continues to build on his game, he'll be exactly what the Hawks need.

Looking like a real NHL Team & improving
- Scoring first goal
- Winning puck battles
- Crisp passes
- Moving the puck from their end up the glass not up the middle
- Power Play is better based on 2 & 3
- Back checking improved
- Keith looks like Keith
- Dahlia looks in balance

I can’t bash Coach Q , Three cups in seven years and he coached through a lot of tough situations. Love the guy and hope he moves on to another successful coaching venture unless he decides to hang them up.

No credit to Q for those Cups - anyone could have won with those loaded teams.

Besides - all credit should go to his predecessor - Savard - for molding the team into a foolproof sure Cup winning dynasty.

A smooth trade or 2 and unearthing some talent in the lower levels of the draft goes a long way toward salvaging the jobs of a GM and Head of Scouting (Strome, Entwistle, Kurachev, Ian Mitchell, maybe Perlini).

We can pick apart anyone, there are lots of things about Q that drove me crazy but he was the right guy for the Hawks and three cups bears that out. But like all coaches in any sport Q's time was up.

The 1 penalty that the Blackhawks actually committed was not called. All others were dives. These refs are really sad to be failing like this.

Yeah, no kidding, terrible, wussy coach, Philly wouldn't want him with his three cups and second most wins in NHL history..

Would have loved to see them take some more shots on that 5-3.

both goaltenders have been great...if delia sees it...he stops it...

he has been outstanding; he is tough to beat down low but quick enough to get to the higher shots..

And for earlier interfering with the play by just sitting on the bench with his feet hanging into the rink while the puck was in play.
