No can help Edmonton team is poorly constructed. Mcdavid his game is all about speed up and down the ice and needs a finisher on his wing. Wasting his talent IMO - Scott1977
That is why I say the way the draft is designed is all wrong, if you are to promote top talent. Best talent on bad teams = waste of talent. |

Good news kurashev might be sleeper pick in 4th kinda like shaw 6th kruger 5th hammer 4th - Scott1977
The rap on him was he lacked grittiness, and would sometimes disappear, which caused him to fall in the draft. That appears to have changed this season, only time will tell, but he has all the tools to be a top six forward.
The funny thing about these kids is they all mature at different time lines, some don’t ever really get there.
November 2018 – The first thing you notice when watching Kurashev is his tremendous skating ability, not only with his speed but his handling of the puck at that top speed. When he battles for the puck you realize how big he is and that he does not get pushed off the puck easily. Like most teenagers, he has some gaps in his game but they are all teachable skills so the onus will be on him to put the work in. His future is very bright. Tony Carr

2019 World Juniors: Recap, highlights on Blackhawks prospects from Day 2

Read the article. Thanks for the link.
Can't help but thinking the picture of him in the Swiss sweater reminds me a lot of a NASCAR driver. I know the day will come when the players wear endorsements on their uniforms, and I sure hope it is done my gracefully and subtly than the junior's sweaters.. |

Did the Hawks get Entwhistle in the Hjalmarsson trade? - Dieselhead
No, Hossa, I think they also wanted to draft him. |

[quote=oldduffman]Maybe but I don't think their is that much interest in Q or that much interest from Q .Think it will be offseason for Q ,if he really wants it , I for one don't think he really wants it
I originally was in your Camp but a team like the jets - if offered will not be easy to turn down - Colbyboy
Gentlemen, I think Coach Q already has the flyer job locked up behind closed doors ??? Maybe ??? |

I hope your right .I just think it ridicules to put pro players in unfamiliar and sometimes dangerous situations ,and tell them to go full out . Make it the all star game ,nobody cares about that game except the sponsors and their freeloading shareholder's . - oldduffman
The nhl all star game is the least entertaining of all the professional sports....not entertaining and not necessary. IMHO. And I personally think the Saturday skills competition is on par with the program they ran in the late 70s or early 80s that had NFL players "competing" in running through tires and doing 15-yard sprints and such.

Why would Q want to go to the Flyers? Their fans expect rough hockey. Can you see the fans embracing his pu$$y stick-check style of play? He won't last half a season there when the fans see the no check hockey he will put in there. |

Didn't the Flyers flat out say that they haven't talked to Q? I thought that was where that rumor died. |

When I saw him in camp/preseason I thought he looked more mature than his age on the ice. I think we'll see him next year at some point. |

definitely won't last. The Hawks still don't win many games unless they get great goaltending, but at least they aren't going down 2-0 or 3-0 early and often. |

Not watching, but boxscore says Kane and Adb. They aren't on the same line, right? How's Delia? Team look good so far? |

It was a Powerplay goal. All 5 guys on the PP were working hard and applying pressure. ADB setup across from Kane, hit the crossbar, but then Kane got him another chance and he buried it. |

Hmm, maybe, these days you don’t know who to believe with any of the stories regarding Who is going where. Perfect example is look at the crap going on with the Cubs regarding Bryce Harper,It’s like playing a game of 52 card pick up throw your hands in the air throw the cards in the air and see where everything lies. Same as far as coach Q’s next job.
Kind a looks like the Hawks are starting to buy into this new coachs stuff. Got to ask does this save Stan Bowman’s job ?and what does he do at the trade deadline per se if this team starts lighting it up in January? As a long time fan as much as I wanted to see them get a high draft pick I want them to win. |

And Strome's awareness of Kane to his right to get that puck out of the crease and over to him was also impressive. |

I have to agree with you there, I never looked at it that way, I was just looking at Coach Q’s overall record and maybe the Flyers want an experienced coach. Regarding the flyers style of play is history presents, I thought the same thing and I think that’s probably What got Ron Hextall fired was his trying to change the style of play which was puzzling. Because he was always an in your face type player even though he was a goaltender in his playing career. Knowing what Paul Holmgren is all about I look for the flyers to retool somewhat and toughen up and get back to their Brash style of hockey. |

For team culture, the confidence of our kids, and the morale of our vets, I want them to win as many games as possible this year, even if we don't make the playoffs. Besides, the draft is a crapshoot. Some of our best players have come in later rounds or later picks and then you have a Strome who has never lived up to expectations (though I like what he is doing for us). |
