I wonder what Booner's narrative will be if the wheels fall off the bus in January, as they often do.
- Marwood

You may want to look at the schedule for January we could go 9-0

You are so confused.

It doesnt change the progress we've seen. You've been firm on the claim that the rebuild isnt showing progress because of standings, Markstrom and Green in this debate. Sorry, that doesnt change how our under 23 players have produced over 60% of the offence that you didnt think was possible without the Sedins.

You are so focused on small picture stuff that you can't see the forest for the trees. I don't care about playoffs and the standings. That's you. Your desire. Your narrative. I hope we get a shot in the lottery. That doesnt mean Petey, Boeser, Horvat, JV, Hutton, Gaudette, Leivo, and the next wave coming are not progressing and have taken over this team...

One day you'll get *it*.

I don’t think Marwood was ever a Sedin champion. I get the feeling he’s not impressed with management and coaching to a lesser extent.

JB has hit some home runs at the draft but it doesn’t excuse some of the blunders in other areas of hockey operations.

How can you be bummed on Green’s coaching??
He’s got the team punching above their weight and got vets and rookies alike buying in and playing as a unit?

Or the fact that JBs picks and trades are all playing well??

The kids are playing well.
The vets are keeping us on track.
Progress is very obvious.
TG is getting the most out of his line-up.
Tending has been steady & improved.
The farm has the time to groom prospects.
Our depth is solid & some contracts will expire with cap for RFA’s & vets released.
More trades & drafts will make us much better with the standings taking care of itself. The cap is in great shape & open spots is valuable currency.

2020 will see tough competition

My guess, 7-3-2, until end of January.

Did Booner just discover the word narrative a few months ago because he severely overuses it

He’s just saying that those of us who don’t believe this is a playoff team are incapable of seeing the small improvements that are taking place. This is the Pom-Pom narrative, and is just as false as all the other narratives...

You just complain more, so people think you don't like where the team is headed. Thanks for clearing that up.

Perfect scenario would be to challenge for a playoff spot until april and miss by a few points, then win the lottery ha ha. I think everyone would be happy with that.

Luongo plans on playing until he’s 43
Luke Fox of Sportsnet: Florida Panthers goaltender Roberto Luongo is 39-years old and he has four years left on his deal. His cap hit is $5.33 million but his salary will drop to $1 million for the final two years.

Luongo says he’s plan on honoring his deal as that is why he signed the deal … and with the back-diving salary?

“You guys said that. I never said that. My intention was to play as long as I could. I never put a number on it. I never said I was going to retire at a certain age. I was going to play as long as I enjoyed it.”
