We have the best 2 back to back games all year.

Lots of positives to focus on, and instead it is post after post of soccer mom whining about elbows and headshots and life is not fair.

This is hockey, played by grown men at very high rates of speed.

poop happens.

For goodness sake, lets turn the page of the victim whining!!!!

That's my question too.

Yeah, Cam's a vet, but the dude is supposed to be a backup goalie and is in his first year on the team.

- BINGO!

I bet it had a lot to do with CC getting run over. Who better to call out the team than a back up goalie.

If Seabrook who wasnt wearing a letter doesn't go to the penalty box and talk to the captain there's no way we beat Detroit to win the SC that year.

Joining a bit late...I assume this is about the Hartman elbow?

Have to agree with TrueGrit on this one.

Hawks have put together two great games. Focus on that. I don't believe the Hartman elbow was intentional. Sucks that it happened and there was no response (regardless of intentional or accident), but that's the Hawks.

I got a little worried last night when Dallas closed the gap and made it 3-2, but the Ward and the co. stood strong.

Feel like Kampf, Johnson and Kahun are getting stronger every time they get ice time. Nice that they're fast, too.

A la Jammer during the 2013 Cup run, Hayward for the Cubs during the rain delay, etc. etc.

What I perceive is that is taking the team to task (well-deserved, IMO) seems to have had the most positive effect on the Core, many of whom still seemed to be in a funk/pouting about the loss of Q and showing visible frustration with the new coach.

- pdx2ord

I think the core (except Keith maybe and Seabs) if you define them as Kane, Toews, Saad and Debrincat have played consistently well with the exception of Saad all year. And Saad has been dominant since coming out of that funk.

DeBrincat on pace for +/- 25 goals getting jerked around the line up again. Kane on pace for his second highest PPG average ever. Toews rising like the Phoenix from the ashes.

A bunch of the other guys just blow or are super green lol. I dont think they are good enough to consistently beat the better teams but if they play like they did the last two nights most nights they will be moderately enjoyable to watch which is kind of cool considering where we were at a week ago.

Oh yea. Forgot about the Murphy one last night.

Def intentions there. But, again...no response from the Hawks.

Here is a problem I have with the recent Elbows:

No response to the officials from JC. I don't blame the players because both incidents were in a close game and taking an instigator would be dumb, but cmon JC, stick up for your players. That little smirk he give the officials bothers me. As a player, I always loved knowing that my coach had our backs.

JC is very passive. Never any emotion. He always looks kind of smug or something. Haha.

So your definition of “brain injury” is “poop.” Wonderful. How cavalier you are with the mental health and general health of others. It is 2018 just to let you know - maybe you missed the very sobering and serious research concerning concussions.

Um yes. Dahlstrom has been rock solid. I watched him absorb a few hits last night and barely move.

Question is why was he down in Rock Vegas while we were up here suffering through Rutta and Manning night in night out? The kid has played 15 or so NHL games and has more composure with the puck and better positioning than either of the aforementioned useless turds.

No surprise the Hawks have looked a lot better since the arrival of Murphy and Dahlstrom. Big solid d-men with long reaches that don't routinely leave the middle of the ice wide open.

Hopefully several more d-men pan out for the Hawks and Dahlstrom and Murphy keep improving. A cupboard full of young good d-men is a nice problem to have.

C'mon. No reason to go there.

While I agree with you that the elbow to Murphy was bush/scary and the medical information of recent years is very important, I think a lot of folks like to come here and discuss the game(s) and Hawks.

Personally, I'm not looking to always have a heavy conversation regarding head injuries, etc. I know it's part of the game and we have a better knowledge than we ever did about lingering effects and post-career health, but I don't agree with taking the stance that you somehow care more about someone's health than others do.

Just because people don't want to go into depth conversations about injuries, does not mean they don't take it serious or care about it. I hope Murphy is OK, but I don't want to come on the board and have a speculative medical discussion about the damage potentially done.

You obviously don't need to be a doctor to know that stuff is bad, but it's a fast/physical game and the players (as well as us) know the risks. Not justifying anything, but it's part of the game - whether we like it or not.

Now lets go get Colorado!

OMG - I am sorry, Neurosurgeon Z3, I thought I was on the Hockey buz blog, I must have clicked on the wrong thread.

Nice straw man you created....that works with mindless lib sheep, but not here. See, follow the logic, I am not on the ice and do not effect the mental and general health of others in the NHL.

When Kruger and CC come to your house for Christmas Dinner, you can let them know how much better you are then many others because, as is the case with hybrid car owners, you CARE more than others...and after all, that is what matters.

Concussions are a occupational hazard for most pro athletes. Just a sad reality. That is why some, at some point, decide not to play on and risk more. There really is no way in legislating it out of sports. Many positive steps have been taken, but the risk will remain. No debate or bit of clever insight will alter this ultimate reality.

I am from an era of men, called cave men by today's emasculated populace, that accepted the risk of injury in sport and occupation and actually wore it like a badge of honor in quiet dignity.

So just to clarify before you attempt another "virtue signaling" post, I prefer to not look like a cat nor read other cat like posts, claiming to know what was in the mind of some guy in some split second moving 20mph on skates in traffic. And then projecting from that a whole lot of touchy feely stuff.

Lmao such a “manly man” that disgregards the sustainability of all life in planet earth. Can we PLEASEE Keep the politics off the board. Politicaly, I’m far left liberal. Sold solar energy and now I work in legal Cannabis sales, and I’m the one calling for more physicality and fighting in the NHL and on the Blackhawks. Guess your stereotyping argument of “libs” as soft only holds up in your head. Give me a break.

I felt like Kane, Seabs, and Duncs were most affected by the Q departure than the other guys and whether conscious/intentional or not (I suspect the latter) were not playing as well as they could be in the wake of it.

I'm pretty sure it was a Weber hit, I'm sure it was against Montreal.
Keith got a major and a game in Calgary + add in his fight against Nash, Salomaki. Game misconduct.
