I like these "new" blackhawks...othere than the puke feast shark game...they have really played well the last week:

1. fewer unforced errors and turnovers
2. better defensive awareness
3. outstanding goal tending; kid was great tonight
4. compete level is sustained for most of the 60
5. pk and pp are showing improvement

what's not to like...

Give the Hawks credit. Playing a smart game. Forwards were coming back all night to help out. Delia was outstanding. PP was taking the puck behind the net and moving it around nicely. And I really liked the 3 hit shift by Martinsen. They are valuable to keep teams honest.
Overall gutsy effort.


Wins against Nashville, Dallas, and Colorado were all impressive. Who woulda thought.

i had them losing all 3...lucky to get a point...but then again what do i know

Different cheering for the Hawks now that they are the underdogs. Great win , have to say very impressed with Murphy, really starting to like him.

Perlini has some burners!! He jammed up the Avs that last minute or so a few times. Maybe try him on the PK? Maybe he can turn into a Frolik type guy for us. He just needs to bring it more frequently.

when december strated i figured 8 pts would be the best they might do...

december started 0-6 and the prediction looked pretty good

now 4-7-1 with 9 pts and 3 games left...

You must know the same things I do: I had them losing all three, too. Didn’t see this coming in any way, shape or form. Funny how their best hockey leads to the most exciting games.

Hawks could’ve had 4-5 goals tonight. Avs goalie absolutely robbed Sikura twice and Strome.

If Strome can just improve his skating a bit he’s a legit lower end 1 or high 2nd line center.

He just can’t get to some pucks bc of his lack of acceleration on his stop and starts. He goes to the blue paint and has great hockey sense. Reads plays very well too.

Respect and shout out to Duffy on the 3-1 hawks win prediction. Closer than any of us that guessed, with an unwavering faith in this team. I might be 3 months old in Buzz years, but I give the belt to you tonight.

They still have hiccups with defensive zone coverage but i really like how there is less free space for the forwards in front of the net. This team is not a grinder but i really like that they are playing more of a contact sport than they were earlier this season

The 22 blocks really stands out, led by Seabs with 6, Murphy and Gus with 4 each. It's a good sign that guys are literally putting some skin in the game.

Winning is so much more fun. Three in a row feels like a real trend. Another win Sunday would make for a mighty fine Christmas break.

Good wins but either make to playoffs or finish in the bottom 5 of the league finishing the middle of the pack does help the hawks future. Still the improvement of play of late has made it easier to watch. Still be sellers at the trade deadline AA manning kunitz keith possibly need look at the big picture going forward.
