https://thehockeywriters.com/tage-thompson-the-next-ones-nhl-2016-draft-prospect-profile/

Currently listed at 6-foot-5, Thompson has the size to be an intimidating figure on the ice. The figure and build of a power forward, he has a lot more upside when it comes to his offensive skill and stick handling. He’s been called for just six minor penalties this season which is a plus when a player is that big and plays the physical game.

I’m sure you know more than Peyton Manning...I mean NHL scouts

- sbroads24

U can pick just about any NHL player who drafted in the 1st and they’ll have a similar scouting report

That doesn’t mean squat

The guy was a “B” prospect who MIGHT turn into a 20goals scorer

What’s you’re projection for this player with “tons of talent” sir?

BOOM! 😂😂😂
Fitz for the win

https://thehockeywriters....the-next-ones-joel-armia/

How does a 6’3” pure sniper who can skate at the disposal of your favourite team’s coach sound?

“The Finnish Ace” might just develop into the best pure goal scorer from this year’s draft crop

It’s almost as if the first rounders are the more talented ones. Could that be it?

Do we have an expert on that here? Can anyone confirm?

Are you trying to say first rounders aren’t talented, and then declared yourself a winner?

Trying to say that a scouting report for a kid when he’s 17 doesn’t guarantee squat

“Tons of talent” though?
Na... that’s they type of overexaggeration we’ve all come to expect from you though

For he have talent?
Sure
Doesn’t mean he’ll be able to do anything with it though

I HOPE he can
But somehow you’ll turn this into me rooting against him
Instead of just frankly saying,
Thompson... isn’t... good (yet)
And probably never will be

Unless u judge him by his percentage of scoring chances on every other Tuesday,
when the moon is full, and the Dow Jones is on the rise and u have more than 3 fudgesicles in your freezer
But i just wouldn’t understand that metric

It’s so obvious dude. And I honestly understand. It’s cool.

You typed HAHAHAHAHA at the idea of a first round pick having a ton of talent. It can’t be anymore obvious that you don’t like him.

No one said he’s going to be great or even score 20 goals. I’m baffled how anyone can think he’s hasn’t greatly improved since his disaster start, and he’s shown flashes of some serious skill.

He’s looked better, SOME games
And others he’s non-existent

And if he isn’t gonna be a 20goals scorer,
then we should just package him to a team who still thinks he can be
If that team even still exists

Bc the bottom line is that even with “tons of talent” he isn’t producing

I don’t think he was a good prospect
You do
Pretty sure I’ll be right, again

Yeah...
keep defending guys like Thompson & Berglund
and then rail on Sam & Risto some more

Makes a ton of sense

Well, to be fair...this sentence, for me makes the rest of the analysis questionable at best.
The author must have just finished watching Bambi for goodness sake to thinkThompson plays a physical game.

Jack is still in question?
Wow... I’ve got nothing

Who is this “Vanak” that’s in question?

- jdfitz77

Well his not replacing Gil, or Patty, and Dale has 1400+ PTS in his NHL career... Jack has a little over 200... I'll take Hawerchuk.. and its not even close. I supposed I might replace Gare with Vanak.

Sorry, but if you want to be on the all time sabres team you have to earn it. No participation trophies handed out here... (hence why Tim Horton is not on the list)

Wasn’t Hawerchuk here for a fairly short time though?
When u take that into account...
With how Jack has already looked, plus how he projects going forward
I think Jack is a pretty easy choice

It’s not like Hawerchuk spent half his career here
Unless I’m remembering this all very wrong
