He is the only actual generational talent in the game today. Dahlin is great, but Jack and McDavid = Cups. Yes, you do that trade, I wouldn't hesitate for a moment...and Dahlin could be very special.

Come to think about it Im not sure I would even trade jack for him.... McDavid is a better player, Not arguing that. But How much better????? Plus Jack Loves it here... Would McDavid???? Same age, McDavid makes more, harder on the cap... Doesn't fix our need for secondary scoring.... Actually makes it harder because of the higher cap number....

(1) The Vegas Golden Knights have acquired forward Tomas Tatar from the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for a 2018 first-round pick, a 2019 second-round pick and a 2021 third-round pick.
(2)The San Jose Sharks have acquired pending unrestricted free agent Evander Kane from the Buffalo Sabres. The Sabres will receive a conditional first-round pick in 2019, a conditional fourth-round pick in 2020 and center Danny O'Regan.
(3) The Winnipeg Jets have acquired Paul Stastny from the St. Louis Blues. St. Louis gets a 2018 first-round pick, a 2020 fourth-round pick and prospect Erik Foley.
(4) The Nashville Predators have acquired RW Ryan Hartman and a 2018 fifth-round pick from the Chicago Blackhawks. Chicago gets a 2018 first-round pick , a 2018 fourth-round pick and F Victor Ejdsell.

Buddy I know 6 first rounders were traded. Only Nash and Stastny had months till UFA status. Trading a guy with term is much different.... ROR had 3 years left and got us a first rounder, second rounder 2 years from now, and Thompson with having to take on some trash. If ROR was a rental we would have gotten less.

I think McDavid is the only player in the league I would trade Dahlin for. He is going to be the best player on our team when he is fully developed. We will have two top 10, if not top 5, players in the league on one team. Hail to the Tank.

If we lived in a world where there were no NTCs, and he was offered Eichel, Dahlin and Risto for McJesus, Klefbom and Lucic, he says yes imo
