Most drug abuse the result of trauma, or ptsd. it also will have come from your childhood but it is not a rule. Its like you are saying you are making money so turn that part of your brain off.

Brett Favre got injured and became addicted to painkillers and was quite severe.

Its complete nonsense.

I get it, i do... But you make a choice to swallow a pill, put the bottle to your lips or stick a needle in your arm. What I am saying is why don't these players surround themselves with good people, participate in league sponsored drug programs. Get the right counseling etc..... it seems like they don't want to help themselves.... Just my opinion. You have yours, i have mine..

Josh Gordon up until his last suspension with the Browns said that he had NEVER played a football game sober since the end of the 6th grade. Was drunk or high for every single game from middle school to the NFL. There is no excuse, he had every resource in the world to get help. He isn't banging dope. He just likes drinking and smoking pot.

This makes me feel like Beaulieau is lower than Hunwick or Guhle on the pecking order. While these feels like a good thing, based on his play, I am not sure if this is warranted. Thoughts?
- RhinoFan
. Beaulieu has played well this year... I think it has to be because he is still injured... Because from what I've seen he is WAY better than those two.

All three of them should be higher than Scandella IMO.

You are not really listening. Mine is not opinion it is fact.

Most addiction comes from childhood. There is even research that certain personalities are highly addictive but keep calling it opinion. When a player is injured and a doctor prescribes medicine the addiction comes after.

I guess Brett Favre is a weak minded person according to you.

Agreed with this (except the PK ) for some reason we are much better with Scandella on the PK.... ( I assume that just because he's more experienced.

Yes if he agrees, there is still the hurdle of the NHLPA to agree. Perhaps Berglund goes quietly but the NHLPA is never happy terminating contracts.

Again, it was already reported that it was a mutual contract termination. We save 2.2 this year and the full 3.85 the next 3 years.

Yes, speculation but not yet from his mouth and the NHLPA is probably whispering in his ear.

I would put that at under 1% IMO. He wants to go home and play hockey.

You believe in participation trophies don't you?

I don't think anyone is weak if they get addicted to something, It happens to the strongest of people, however I think they are weak if they don't at least try to fix the problem.

again just referring to Gordon, I don't think he has really put in any effort to change....

Cap friendly has since elaborated on that point. All of the people reporting that it is mutual were citing cap friendly, but their 4 part tweet elaboration has since muddied the water in terms of what "mutual" means

What does participation awards have to do with addiction? You think deflection will help you in your ignorance?

From what I just read online, it has been terminated and it was a mutual agreement.

If that is right or not is another question entirely.
