Making the playoffs this season means alot from the pegulas down to ellie.

Jbotts definitely tweaks this team at the deadline.

The berglund $ just became a huge financial opening against the cap.

He goes and gets another sheary type.
Couple years left on a contract.

I like Sean couturier.
2c
3 years left at 4.33
That's berglund money plus a 1/2 million

Jbotts buddy is Philadelphia's gm now

- Boss34

Sure
But why does Philly trade a good young player?
He’s the type they should be building around, not giving up on

I would really like this idea, but at what cost? It seems he also mentioned something about his first round picks being pretty hard to part with

Would have to give up at least 1 of the 1sts for him
And that’s if Philly would even move him

Seems like Simmonds is more likely
Maybe even Voracek

The #Flyers have loaned center Phil Varone to their AHL affiliate, the @LVPhantoms.

I realize the picks are nice but.

St.louis 1st
St. Louis 2nd
Ahl guy (smith, nylander, guhle)

Couturier

We shouldn’t be giving up picks and certainly not the blues one

He might be off limits.

Young , contract controlled

From a Sabres prospective- he fits what I'm looking for.

2c
Scores goals and points
3 years
4.3 cap?

There is absolutely no way we end up with a top pick .

They are not worse then 10 teams .
Especially when teams try and lose

Look at ottawa.
There fighting to make sure that pick isnt high for Colorado. Still might be......though

You can’t move that blues pick the 2020 draft is going to be like the 2015 draft that top ten is going to be ridiculous

And we’re not At the position where you can just throw away pick some prospects we need to keep on building

Yeah, he’d be great move
Points are down a little, but still on pace for over 30 goals again
Philly would be nuts to move him

Definitely important to keep our picks
We are at the position to trade picks.

We're good, like actually really good finally

Rochester is good and stocked

Our 2AA team is in first

Jbotts has guys from this draft (d) he's confident about

Our picks are worth more to a team like philly.
Quicker turn around.

They give him up, tank a bit, and have 2 good picks.

Agreed, some patience is in order. We're not a mid-season move away from truly contending, by design. The STL pick isn't something I'd even consider moving.

It's a tough sell for sure.

But new GM, didnt draft couturier
Jbotts old partner
We have some pieces finally.

Maybe Nelson, scandella, sobatka.

I wouldn't want to trade any current guys.
I like what we have going on. Continuity finally

Remember when we were gonna win the lottery with the islanders pick and st Louis? In 2015.

Use those picks to get McDavid and eichel.

Couturier has 3 more years.
Its not mortgaging the future. We still have 2 1sts.

Don’t worry man I’ve seen on 3 different publications and interviews he is 99% sure he’s using those picks. Botts is the right guy to lead the ship.

He’s worth a lot more we just don’t have the Pieces for him without giving up someone we love

I wasn't suggesting those stubs would get anything.

Those are guys we can part with. They will bring back next to nothing in return.

Its picks or AHL guys if we make a trade. Aside from a throw in

I hear ya
StL has a lot of talent
If they can find a goalie, they could definitely turn it around and be a decent team again next year
But they are trending down, so it would be very risky for us to give up that pick, considering the draft it’s in
And there’s also a chance that they start selling off pieces
Already rumors about Tarasenko & Pietrangelo

Gotta give to get of course
But that’s the one 1st that I’d wanna hold on to

I think that Guhle, Nylander/Olofsson, Sharks 1st would be a pretty legit package

Certainly better than what we got for O’Reilly

Do I think jbotts trades those picks- no

Just making conversation.

Sabres need a 2c / secondary scoring
Guy has term
Guy is good
4.3 for 3 years is cheap

I wouldn’t hate picking a goalie in the 20s if there’s someone there they really like
