Disclaimer: this is in bad taste

A few months ago,
a group of ppl were doing “Paul Walker shots”
It’s a car bomb with the shot lit on fire

Made me chuckle
Then i was ashamed i found it kinda funny

Gotta think Skinner is priority #1
Once that’s done,
i wonder what Botts is thinking as far as figuring out secondary scoring if we are still struggling in that area

- jdfitz77

Botts has said on record, a few times, he's only interested in a young, cost controlled player with term left on his contract. I think this narrows down the trade speculation.

I heard something on WGR this morning that the Sabres have followed the protocol to terminate Berglund's contract. After he clears unconditional wavers, he can then contest the legalities of the trade, and likely come to some sort of arrangement. (something to that effect)
I'm not sure it's a done deal, but it seems to look like they'll still escape the cap ramifications of his contract, which is all we really care about.

Barring any injuries?

I’ll say Sam.

That line is the 2nd most productive in the league.

- Stripes77

Its actually gonna be close.
Kinda funny to keep an eye on.

Realistically he should be favored based on last year's totals.

It’s not that they are a liar.

It’s being a professional and giving respect to a former coworker.

There is absolutely no way any player would come out and say oh yea he was a total piece of poop in the room

Look what we KNOW about Lehner and how he was in the room from his own (ghost writer) mouth and not one person said that in an interview.

- Shadman306

Ok,
But then why would Jack go to great lengths to make up the story about how when He & ROR heard about the supposed friction between them,
that they purposely hammed it up to mess with the media rumors

If it was like you say,
then all he had to say was that it was no big deal

Not make up a story (LIE) that could come back at him if ROR (or anyone) said it wasn’t true

That makes way too much sense.
Who wants to be looked at as a bad locker room guy?

Ever?.

Good luck- here's the baton

Hopefully that’s true
I don’t wanna give up assets for a rental

Young, cost controlled guys are generally hard to acquire though

he's not ready... He started really fast, then dropped off (,maybe because of his injury, no idea). he needs more time down there.... if anyone is going to get called up my guess would be Smith or SIGH Bailey again.

Any above SHOULD get the call but i still think they will just move Thompson up a line and put Elie on the 4th line.

We’ll likely never know
But the clincher for me was when Jack told that story about them clowning the press
That was above & beyond what he had to say to save face or whatever

I wouldn’t doubt if they had words at times
With all that losing...
I’d have been p!ssed if they weren’t p!ssed
Ya know?

Your response was well played and clever.

Your opinion of this situation, I disagree with greatly.

No hard feelings

Definitely true. I'm kind of resigned to the notion they aren't going to do much. Botts seems content to just ride things out and be patient. Even the call ups from Rochester will take some time I think (barring injuries). I think it was Sheary with Pittsburgh that didn't get his first call up to the big club until the playoffs. (albeit Pittsburgh had a cup contender, and the Sabres aren't that far along yet, obviously)

Making the playoffs this season means alot from the pegulas down to ellie.

Jbotts definitely tweaks this team at the deadline.

The berglund $ just became a huge financial opening against the cap.

He goes and gets another sheary type.
Couple years left on a contract.

I like Sean couturier.
2c
3 years left at 4.33
That's berglund money plus a 1/2 million

Jbotts buddy is Philadelphia's gm now

Wonder if he likes playing with eichel?

Skinner could be a hall of Famer if he signs for 7 or 8 years and plays on eich's wing.
