I fully get it in net. Hexy's number 1 biggest mistake was thinking Elliot and Mr. Glass should be the pair. Note I am 100% okay with Elliot as part of that pair or in a backup role.

You have Giroux who is again producing at well over a PPG..Coots, Jake, JVR, Simmonds, Ghost and Provy..On paper the PP should be rock solid and offense should be a strong point .

I am in no absolving the players here. They are a huge problem. But I do wonder if there was something going on or a huge disconnect between coach/management and team.

Yesterday when they interviewed players it almost seemed like a sense of relief. I don't know. Maybe I am reading things wrong. But just something wasn't adding up.

No question there is way more to this season than what anyone knows, the problem is the speculations surrounding the team all year is what clouds it.

Like the constant, the Flyers are going to trade everything for crappy old and expensive players....yet not a single trade has happened.

I do like the idea of offer sheeting Point, though.

The point of giving an offersheet is so the team "cant" match it, which would mean giving up 4 firsts.

However, I would talk to Tampa about becoming a dumping ground for some of thier contracts they cant afford anymore... Stamkos, Kucherov, McDonagh, Johnson..... if they want to keep Point something has to go, and someone has to benefit from it... We can offer decent prospects that will make it less painful. I wouldnt mind giving up frost for Stamkos or Kucherov.....

I just looked it up. Since were talking about the NHL, I didnt think they would have the foresight or common sense to adjust the salary levels to reflect salary inflation over time. If it cost a 1,2,3....id do it
