Reading Scott Gordon’s Flyers put a smile on my face. A new day boys and girls!
We have officially stopped digging the hole we are in and can begin getting out. - Shrike
Actually the hole can get deeper. I'm not explaining it though because I'd probably want to commit harikari |

The line combo's and D pairings Bill posted are at least a step in the right direction. - juiced
What does it say about Weal if the coach who had him in LV won't dress him?
I'm not sure those D pairs are going to help unless they've been coached to play differently on the bottom 2 pairs. We've seen those before and they weren't great. |

Just thinking aloud here but could the Flyers be close to being slapped by the league for tampering.
If so you got to believe part of the punishment is Q can't come here. |

I'm excited for Hart. At this point just let him split time with Neuvirth and Elliot till the end of the season. No need to try and get a goalie, Crawford and Schneider are injured again. That is only going to raise the price of Quick. Anyone else that is "available" will not be an improvement. I only say pick up Anderson as an extra piece to be a 1a 1b option. |

They would have to have some proof. |

Oh well, not like it could get any worse, right?
right?? - BiggE
Oh, its gonna get a lot worse. Unless the players can motivate themselves. This AHL placeholder isn't going to do it.
A total tire fire in every aspect. From the very top (Scott) down to the very bottom (where we are going to finish this season)
Lose For Hughes.

Gordon hasn't even had a practice yet and we are taking these lines as gospel? Comon people.

League would need to have proof. Everyone involved has denied everything. You cant really take the media as a fact. Rumours are just rumours. |

7/73 on the PP?
Good God. I knew it was bad. I didn't realize it was THAT bad. They need to throw away the PP and go back to the drawing board and start at square one. The league obviously has them figured out at this point. - hereticpride
Nothing to do with the league figuring them out.. Every team has extensive video and advanced scouting on the opposition PP.

Regarding Fletcher’s sit down with the media yesterday, something bothered me. I am not looking for the quotes right now, but the vibe was the same old....I like our team, they are a tight group, they have talent but aren’t playing to potential...blah!
It certainly made it sound like trades are no longer imminent. This is a horrible message. Well it is lovely that he has such faith in their abilities after watching last week’s games up close and personal and bonding over free time. Do you?
My faith in this group to turn this around is gone, I wanted trades because I wanted hope. At least plug some roster holes. I don’t even want to discuss feelings on tonight’s lineup or Hart’s debut. I will cheer for Hart though. - NC Flyers Fan
Reality is kicking in. The trade market is prohibitive. The same thing Hextall knew, Fletcher is finding out.

Scott's quote when Q was fired is going to be a damning piece if it's provable

We are pretty much down to Quick, Anderson and Howard as top targets unless somehow you might work a deal for Talbot who's lost his job in Edmonton. But Talbot's game this year has been Flyer goalie like. I listed the first three in the order of preference but even that is a no thanks from me on any of them unless something else is coming that will fix the other issues. |

Well not exactly a surprise Laughton Raffl and Weise are clearly better then him
Like Raffl playing with JVR |

Four games until Christmas...anyone willing to guess how we are going to handle the back to back this weekend in goal?

You do realize nothing is going to change right? The team isnt magically going to play better. If the team does improve it will likely be because of Carter Hart - xShoot4WarAmpsx
It doesn’t matter how we do right away, we can look to the future and know that at least we are trying something different. It’s better than watching the same thing not work over and over and over. |

If anyone here says they know what to expect out of this team tonight, they are lying.
I'm just hoping Hart doesn't get shelled. |

JVR on the 3rd line with no real playmaker is a waste. |

Raffl works the wall well and recently has been putting plenty of cherries at Weise's feet just to watch them get flubbed. JVR hopefully pots those |
