Find it hard to believe that no one wants to trade for him though. He's still a young guy with offensive potential and works pretty hard. I could see him getting 40 pts on a line where he's clicking.

I like Hudon. He has a decent skills, good skating.... he's usually shown he can create scoring chances when giving the opportunity.

So far, his problem is not being able to do it consistantly enough to bump a player from the top 9 permanently and not doing what you'd expect from a 4th liner either.... until he can find a role in which he becomes the best option for the coach, his status will remain unclear.

Writing this, I just remembered that Armia exists and will come back at some point.

Other GMs know he'll be on waivers sooner than later, why give up any assets?
- MortChicken

Indeed that's what could likely happen.

Also, he is a bit of a liability in his own zone, and has had the tendency of taking stupid lazy penalties this season.

Where does he play when he comes back? 4th line? 3rd?

He's better than Emelin that's for sure...I think Vegas would've been better by taking him.

They're 2 completely different players, hard to say one is better than the other... I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that when it's all said and done, Emelin will have played more NHL games than Hudon, if that means anything at all

Emelin had a spot on the best defense in the league.

But so does Yannick Weber apparently

They actually have depth, they lack star power

Not sure if Fred's ass has star power or not?
