Witbthis talent, any coach can have them with that record.

*sigh*

Still at this, it’s been days of how much you think Babs sucks.

It’s like Burn 2.0 repeating himself day after day...at least your not constantly laughing at others opinions and have none yourself

Hell 15 mins a day just throwing those stretch passes I could get pretty good.

The biggest thing with Z or Oz is they defer a lot to their partners. They rely on them to make that pass because they can’t. So the time it takes them to send it back to their partner it allows the other teams to set up and close on the open players. If they make that first pass they can catch teams off guard but they miss those passes over and over again.

- bryant

80% of Z’s passes are either in the skates or completely miss.

I get that you're upset, but stop typing with your face. It's hard to understand you.

Secondly, no, they can't. A lot of coaches with very good rosters get fired all the time because they employ strategies that don't or won't work with their teams.

The Leafs don't have a large team. They don't have a grinding team. They don't have a heavy team. They have a fast up-tempo team. The strategy being employed by Babcock suits the players he has very well. That's why they are 21-10-2.

The Conan-model. "You strap me to a wheel for 15 years, and I'd be pretty big, too!"

The wheel would likely have slipped away, spun and concussed me. This is the comic-relief-model. These people are subject to perhaps one heroic redemptive moment, but are most likely to screw up frequently.

I suspect we don't have a lot of Conans on our defense corps.

I wouldnt say its a failure but it does explain why a team with so much offence is always in there own zone. Chances of a stretch pass is 50/50. So 50% of the time its turned over and coming back in the zone and if you miss it, its an icing and also coming back in the Zone. Plus on top of that if your forwards are blowing the zone all the time. Its added seconds for them to get back and help if it is turned over. Unless its a safe no brain stretch pass, the short coming out as a unit passes are the way to go Imo.

That’s why they’re defenceman. Don’t have enough talent to make a good pass.
