I'm going to wait for the season to end before I decide if it was a success or not. The TDL is going to play a very big part in that. And f*ck narratives.

If the Canucks can get a top 5 pick and a Calder trophy I’m the happiest pig in the pen. To me, that is a perfect season for a rebuilding team.

hate brings this place together, that's never been in question. Questioning someones loyalty as a fan because they sway one way or the other on certain things should be though.

I guess you're right people will complain just for the sake of complaining these days. Why should complaining about their hockey team be any different.

We aren't getting a top 5 pick.

Gotta make do.

Lol. That movie is so quotable. So many great lines. That whole scene is fantastic.

I wouldn’t bet on it but there is a slim chance with the lottery.

Gary looks like the type of guy who has a lot of different things you could blackmail him with. You could just offer him the one ring back.

If my research is correct there’s only 5 last-place teams since 2000 that have retained thier 1st overall pick.

Always a chance sure but IMO just looking at it realistically. In my mind we are a better club this year than last. We have shown that when healthy and that 'should' equate to a few more wins and a little climb in the standings pulling us away from a top 5 pick. my take anyways. But one never knows...there may be a tanks spiral downward to come yet.

This is not the clearest of statements. Are you saying not many teams that finished last got the pick? The pick has been traded? They traded the player eventually?

I mean the last two years we've been awful in the second half of the year. Like terrible nosedives. We've done well until january both years. I'm just saying. I do think this is a different team, but injuries happen (I think this will hurt) and Bo has to prove he can do it for 82 games (which I fully believe he will). I think we finish around 8th from the bottom in the end. Still a good chance at top3

Draft drawings only. Only exception was 2005 with Crosby.

Oh for sure. One game and there could be three guys out for the year. Always an issue here I hope it's a problem we get past someday, but it just appears that players are going to oft-injured in todays NHL and moving forward.

I thought the same, just didn’t count on how bad LA, Stl and Fla ended up. Figured Canucks would have more wins/points but end up in roughly the same spot in the standings.
