Nobody can... clank is it... and that was more of a joke than anything last year. I got accused of the same thing when I said he needs to score more, even after I stated he was playing very well. It’s just how people perceive certain players I guess because jack is currently our best player we shouldn’t question anything about him.


My biggest complaint about jack was his lack of effort on the backcheck (last year), he has turned into a complete player in that regard. And now that he is scoring and still has assists like he did on the skinner goals against the bruins he is playing at a hart level.

This is what I have been saying, Sabres are in desperate need of a Play making number 2 center.. i would gladly give up 1 or 2 of the number 1 picks we have and prospects if we could get a legit #2 center... Mitts will be good but he is Rooking and on the smaller side. Could you imagine if we had a #2 center of say...Sean Couturier, good money and term....

Usually, #2 quality centers, especially ones that are young enough to fit our timeline going forward, are hard to acquire
And costly to do so

I’m totally open to the idea
But i don’t think we should be waiting for it to happen either
We should continue to explore any other viable option we have at the moment

For me...
that means move Sam to 2C and see what happens
And I’d even consider moving Skinner to LW2 with him

I know that would be desperate...
but it’s tough to see us maintaining this success with only 1 line scoring

The point is, Eichel is as important to this team as McDavid is to his. The Sabres should not be taking offers on Eichel. Eichel is 4 points off McJesus as we sit here
