Hitch on how bad Mc has it?!?! If he’s reaching there already... Lord help them! |

"Hitch: You know, I’m not going to comment on the penalties, but the stuff that really bothers me is what’s happening to Connor. And that really bothers me.Because we’re a league that’s supposed to showcase our top players. And you don’t want to give them all the freedom, but, the tug-of-war on his was absolutely ridiculous today. And that’s a little bit discouraging to be honest with you; because I can see the whacking and hacking when he’s got the puck but to me it’s all the stuff behind that doesn’t allow him to showcase his speed. And if that’s what we want, then that’s fine. But I think it’s a real disservice to a player like him.
Q: Is this a volume thing where you can’t call everything?
He’s not allowed to play give and go, it’s give and hold. So, we’re going to have to find a way to fight through it or play toughness with them and figure it out from there."
Praise Hitch! Finally an Oilers coach with balls and honesty; (frank) that stubborn, dusty old queef-bag we had before. |

Hitch is smart for two reasons....first of all he isn’t wrong about Connor.....I get you can’t call everything but they do need to start calling some stuff....you would think it would be beneficial to the NHL if their star player was allowed to showcase his talents.....second of all the players will no doubt hear of his comments and it only buys him points with the guys....it’s easier to buy in and play for a guy when you know he has your back and isn’t afraid to express his opinions

Sure Hitch, it's a real shame indeed that the other 30 teams in the league dont allow McJesus to break into the zone at will.
Give me a break. |

The zebras put their whistles away when it came to McDavid tonight.... the last two minutes of the game he was literally dragging Canucks with him as he was skating. |

I get why the Canucks felt the need to clutch and grab on McDavid.... I mean a team full of plugs and tweeners who can barely skate had no chance against McDavid. |

Patently absurd that you think the treatment McDavid- and other star players around the league- gets away from the puck counts as "not letting him break into the zone at will". What a dumb statement. |

When has that not been the case eh? This is hockey, not soccer.
You guys are in for a rude awakening IF the Edmonton McDavids actually make it into the playoffs this year. |

That's precisely the point. Simply because "it's a physical game", the NHL allows all the extra clutching and grabbing at the expense of improving the game's market appeal. Wanna guess why hockey is the least popular of the major NA sports? Because they don't follow their own rules and cater to stifling defense.
They've taken steps to improve scoring lately and that's a positive; next is to either start calling the rulebook or get rid of the rules you don't call.
You think Edmonton would come out ahead on that? They probably wouldn't. Lucic and Kassian do their fair share of other stupid garbage that oughta get called so they'd even out the extra calls our few skilled players would accrue. My biggest problem is watching an opposition player get a call for being marginally held up off a dump-in then see McDavid not get that same call when that happens 10 times a game to him. Con-(frank)ing-sistency: it's not too much to ask for.
As for the playoffs, get over yourself you arrogant ass-plug. We've seen the playoffs more recently than your Mickey Mouse franchise. |

lol someone's a little pissy.
Speaking of ass-plugs, you might need one if or when you ever manage to get that stick out of your ass.

And someone has no counter to a point in a discussion they started. Classic ass-plug.
Likes to use a combative tone yet can't handle when it's used against him. Also a classic ass-plug maneuver.
Fortunately, you won't need an ass-plug cause your head is already doing the job more than adequately. |

Ironic that a Nucks fan is talking poop about this....the same Nucks fans that cheered Burke when he complained about the treatment of the Sedins are going to troll us when someone speaks up about McDavids treatment? I’ll keep this in mind when the same thing starts happening with EP and the whining starts on your guys end |

McDavid has seen playoff action... not sure it would be any worse than what they faced two years ago. |

Todd Gurley would have even more touchdowns and it would be so exciting for the league but the damn opponents keep trying to tackle him
NFL needs to do something about this
lol Edmonton management/media
This is why you have such a loser culture...everyone buys into it
Your team lost because you played like poop, its not supposed to be easy and nobody is gonna do you any favors because you won a lottery |
