Disagree. Patty was our best forward, ever (IMHO).

Hasek = best Sabre ever - but I think most of us would agree with that.

- kritter65

Pat was fantastic but he is not as good as Perreault. Perrreault, even in his 30s, was our best forward ever.

Good morning gang.

If Skinner wants 9 million, period, let him go.

Then go find the NEXT goal scorer looking for a big deal and trade for him. Its ALL about #9 anyway...

oh...and just to start the week off right....F the Leafs..

2 quick takes before I show myself the door

1. Eichel has played his best hockey as a Sabre the last few weeks, clearly picked it up a notch and I think his ceiling is as high as the other 2 young centers after the last 2 weeks.

2. the line of the carolina reject, clank and skunk is the best sabres line in 40 years

It really is interesting to see the change overall in the organization. Two years ago both clubs were absolutely floundering. Last year, Rochester was back to being a playoff team. This year, the big club is following suit.

Honestly, if JB isn't in the GM of the year conversation, he should be.

We've had 11 different defensemen play at this point and we're still in 5th overall in the standings. They were talking about it on the radio this morning. Hunwick and Guhle were 10 and 11. We didn't even remotely have the kind of depth to handle that two years or or last year even.

If Berglunds contract is voided wouldn’t that make the ROR trade voided until they work out a new agreement ?

JB and Housley should be in GM of the year and coach of the year conversation

Also Eichel is absolutely in the conversation for the Hart if he keeps this up

No, why would it?

He reported to Buffalo

He passed his physical

Once both teams sign off and the NHL does as well it's done.

The trade itself isn't a problem. Either him or his agent dropped the ball from what it seems and didn't submit his list so the trade was valid.

Him not showing up to things is a breach of his contract and could be a loophole they use to get out of it from my understanding of it.

It's a pretty interesting scenario. I can't imagine that they'd go back at this point in the process and tell everyone the trade needs to be reversed.

If the Sabres finish top 3 in the division and Eichel gets 100, he gets the Hart

Only Johnny Hockey and McJesus are top 10 in all of these statistics along with Eichel

I'm not sure that would be enough for him to win it, Hall didn't win it last year, but it should make him a finalist

Someone correct me if I am wrong here but I thought recapture penalties go against the team that signed the player to the contract not the team he is on?
- Stripes77

The majority does.

Ex: If Shea Weber plays until age 34, then Montreal escapes any recapture penalty. Though minimal had he retired prior to the 17/18 season, Montreal would’ve been on the hook for a total of $807,255.

I don't get it. At all.

But, this is just proof as to why the games are played. If everything was dictated based on "what's on paper," we'd see a lot different outcomes most seasons across every sports league than we do.
