That they sign him or the full NTC/NMC?

All true facts, and one reason why I want them to re-sign Hayes for his two way play in all roles on both ends of the ice. However, Skjei's overall game, especially defensive wise has regressed ever since Lindy Ruff was hired effective the previous season. The only way the Rangers will maximize his trade return value is if he is included as one piece of a larger size package of some assets combination or draft position swap.
Ruff was brought in to be a possible replacement for A.V. should he falter further, as he did questionably coaching wise during that series loss to Ottawa that they should have won in that previous postseason. But their thinking changed once they announced their selloff and youth rebuild last winter, in feeling that Ruff was not the right head coach to lead a rebuild, leading them searching predominantly in the college and minor levels, whereby they brought in Quinn instead.

Hayes is easily this team's best two way forward/center. Quinn gives Zib not even half of the shutdown role that Hayes has been in the last two years. It's funny because AV's stubbornness to continue to give Hayes poor linemates, insane amount of DZ% draws and always against other top lines with next to no PP time is a huge chunk of why he's gone along with JT Miller. ^Though that's for a different story.

I wonder how Zib would look in that role with 15-16 minutes a night? Andersson is suppose to do that in the near future?Puuhleaseee... Howden should be developed in a semi sheltered role.

Skjei has regressed the minute the 2017 playoffs started. All the hockey warrior fans who only played EA sports got lost in his hitting vs MTL. That stuff didn't work against Ottawa and he started to get exposed around than and same went Smith. Terrible trades and extension's to both of them. Btw Skjei was really bad that following summer of 2017, like really bad for team USA. That's why the Detroit's head coach praised Hayes and not him when they joined with the team. He lacked common sense and still does. His problems are to frequent to ve considered a quality top 4, sorry but that's not on Ruff even though I hate him as a D coach like the next fan. He took advantage of so.e crazy offense in the early of the the 2016-17 season and was sheltered throughout that season. He harnessed a fake rep due to his skating ( overrated ) and his built. Nothing ever suggested that he could be a shutdown top 4 in this league.

If we're going by common sense here than both of them go hand to hand. They wanted to resign Hayes to begin with and JG along with Sather said they still planned to. If we're going by some quotes and reading in between the lines of what the GO said than I'd say it's already been answered. JG talked about how he didn't want to get tied up into long term contracts but Hayes is a exception was a huge tell tale sign (prob why Zucc knows his days are numbered). Consider that's what Hayes is probably playing for along with a little more money then you should have realized that security definitely would come with his extension.

If they played that way in the 2nd coupled with Hanks performance today, Rangers quite possibly would have won.

If Andersson doesn't mess up in his 4th line role than they probably would have won. That's how you lose respect in a locker room starting with Zucc. There's a interview of him in Norway backing up AV. He was talking also about how the young guys need to earn it and not be given ice time just because.

I'm sure Hank wouldn't care if Andersson went back down to the AHL lol.

Which honestly would be stupid as heck and short sighted. Mistakes happen. The kid knew right away he made a mistake. I am writing about this in blog to be posted. I disagree with benching him.
