I would not be surprised if some people in the dysfunctional Flyers front office hate Hak so much they are planting false rumors to speed his departure.

One person talked to "sources". Another talked to Quenneville himself, who has been telling all of his friends he is taking the rest of the season off, and was skiing with his family and not taking calls when he is supposed to have negotiated his new contract with Philly?

Hmmm.

I guess its possible, but seems dubious to me. But if I'm a front office person who "hasn't been listened to" and wants him gone, what better way to undermine him then to have all of the media talking about how he is gone for a day before anyone comes to the office and says "not yet". Hard to continue to coach the team after that. They'd kind of have to fire him then.

I am looking forward to the change, but it won't automatically solve all the issues with the club. Imo we need to make a couple deals to change up the chemistry.

Who was the coach that was fired and the owner couldn't find a replacement so he tried to make it a mystery before the game and it turned out it was the same coach they fired came out?

I’m pretty sure he has agents and lawyers to handle the negotiations. They also have these newfangled cell phones these days too. Might there be an interim coach until after the Christmas break? Sure, but I think this is pretty much a done deal.

I know Harold Ballard tried to get Roger Neilson to where a paper bag behind the bench....then pull it off to start the game....Roger said no....not sure if that’s the same story.
